Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

For the most part, Rey had been kind of a shut-in this week. Not for any bad reasons, but she'd returned from her trip home with a lightsaber crystal and shed been devoting a lot of time to constructing her lightsaber. All hers. Something that hasn't been passed down, something no one else could lay claim to. And while her headspace wasn't any less complicated, she was at least feeling clearer about it, like the process was some sort of therapy.

Today it was drills, then. Like she was trying to get as much time in with this one as she could while she had it. Kind of a therapy in itself, really.

"Rey?" Anakin called, coming into the warehouse holding a box from France.

"Over here," she called from where she was working.

[sith_happened]

"How was your trip?" he asked, walking closer.

[thatwaslucky]

She shut down the lightsaber, grinning. She wasn't doing that a lot these days. "Successful. How was yours?"

[sith_happened]

"Surprisingly relaxing," Anakin said, smiling back. "No one climbing on priceless international artifacts this time."

[thatwaslucky]

"I damaged nothing," she pointed out.

[sith_happened]

"I think they were more upset about people being on it at all," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Well that was years ago," she said.

She'd damaged all sorts of ancient sites since then.

[sith_happened]

He was so proud!

"It was and don't remind me," Anakin teased.

[thatwaslucky]

"Did you enjoy the trip other than that?" she asked.

[sith_happened]

"Very much," he said, holding out a small box. "I brought you chocolates."

[thatwaslucky]

"You didn't have to do that," she said, taking it. "Thank you."

"Well, who wouldn't want a chocolate bouquet?" Anakin replied.

[thatwaslucky]

"I didn't even know they came that way," Rey admitted. "Do they come that way normally?"

[sith_happened]

"I haven't seen it like this before," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's cute. I'm going to feel bad eating it." She would, though. It might last the weekend.

[sith_happened]

"Don't feel too badly about it," Anakin said. "Rory says it's delicious."

[thatwaslucky]

"Oh, it will get eaten," she promised. "But I'll appreciate the work involved in it the whole time."

Anakin smiled. "I went on a tour of their facility."

Best part of the vacation.

"You can do that? Is it interesting?" she asked.

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded. "I know we can lift things with the Force and levitate but this was magic."

[thatwaslucky]

"How do?" Oh she was so interested now.

[sith_happened]

"They melted the bars and then stirred it around on a piece of marble--something about hitting a certain temperature?--and then when it cools it's shiny and beautiful," Anakin said. "There is zero chance I could replicate it."

Rey smiled a little. "Sounds like you loved it. I'm glad you got to see that."

"It was a really good trip," Anakin said. "How was yours?"
