Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

For the most part, Rey had been kind of a shut-in this week. Not for any bad reasons, but she'd returned from her trip home with a lightsaber crystal and shed been devoting a lot of time to constructing her lightsaber. All hers. Something that hasn't been passed down, something no one else could lay claim to. And while her headspace wasn't any less complicated, she was at least feeling clearer about it, like the process was some sort of therapy.

Today it was drills, then. Like she was trying to get as much time in with this one as she could while she had it. Kind of a therapy in itself, really.

"Make sure you're getting some sleep, too," Anakin teased.

"I am," Rey promised. "I've heard what happened to Tenel Ka, I'm not rushing anything."

Obsessing was something else.

"Good," Anakin said with a small smile. "I don't want a different answer to my 'do you have all of your limbs' question."

"And I have no desire to give you a different answer," she told him. "I'm doing things right. I think."

"If not," Anakin said, pointing to his head, "give me a shout."

"I will." She'd have to do it all herself and she knew it. "Hopefully by this time next week..."

Anakin grinned excitedly. "Should we schedule a sparring session?"

"I don't know that I can schedule it. But when I'm done, yes," she said.

Anakin was all but bouncing in excitement. "I'm looking forward to it."

"You seem more excited than me," Rey laughed.

"I don't have many hobbies," Anakin said, grinning. "Lightsabers are one of them."

"I'm glad I can help, then," she smiled.

Anakin's smile widened. "It's been a long time since I've made a lightsaber. I'm just excited for you."

"Me too," she admitted. It'd been a while since she was excited about anything.

"I'm very glad to hear it," Anakin said sincerely.
