Blame it on the (second) cape, but Graham was feeling inspired that day to root through all the games and books and pull out all the ones that features vampires and the like and set them up on a display with a lot of red-and-black color-themed sets of dice, which was pretty easy for him to do, since he'd already done as much when helping Guillermo pick out some dice for himself. So they had a lot of good options, and then he found himself pouring over some of the games he'd picked out and wondering which ones sounded the most interesting.

And wondering how one werewolf inspired game (well, kind of) managed to get in there.

Ooooh, now he wanted to do a werewolf display, too!

"I was boring yesterday," Charlie said, coming in with her cape flying. "I'm sorry. My mun had a crummy day and then didn't get home till almost midnight. But Look! I have an awesome cape now!"

She demonstrated it with a flourish. "Nowhere near as good as yours, but still awesome!"

"My cape is pretty great," Graham agreed, with all the fondness and confidence that came from such an undeniable fact that was made even more true by the fact that the cloak also held a lot of sentimental value to him, as well. "And most capes are great, but I think what makes a cape awesome," his grin went maybe a touch shy, "has to do with the person wearing it. So you're right. Very awesome cape.

"And," he added, narrowing his eyes a little and stroking his chin in an overexaggeration of thought as he considered Charlie, "I think I might be able to let it slide that you were boring yesterday, if you manage to be extra interesting next time to make up for it!"

Charlie might have ever so slightly blushed. "Not so sure how awesome I am, but," she swirled her cape dramatically, "I will take the compliment.

She smiled at him, then squinted consideringly. "Extra interesting, huh. Any suggestions?"

"Well," Graham informed Charlie, feeling it was very important that she knew this, "I am sure how awesome you are, and it's very, and I definitely know awesome when I see it."

So there. He nodded, resolutely, with his conviction, before adding, "And it wont' be much of a surprise when I get to the notes if I give you suggestions! The surprise of it is half the fun! But, that said, I will point out that there are far too many times when I have to read a note about the Dorms that just says there's no notes for the Dorms..."

So maybe that would be a good place to start!

To the surprise of no one Guillermo was absolutely loving his long cape and he had definitely taken it off a few times so that he could have extras to wear them afterwards, the only issue with the cape had been that it had proven to be rather difficult in cooking his usual supply of snacks so he’d had to make do with only cooking as many empanadas as he could.

Hopefully the empanadas were going to be enough though, “hi,” he said brightly, his cape swishing behind him as he bounced into the room, carrying the several containers of empanadas.

The moment Graham realized that these extra capes were totally going to be a thing today, he could not wait for tonight's gaming session so he could talk to Guillermo about them.

"Zouuuuuunds, Guillermo!" he gushed out excitedly, throwing him a big grin and also throwing out his elbows a little to give his own double-capes a good flap. "On a scale of one to ten, how much are you loving this right now? Is it a billion? I bet it's a billion, it's definitely a billion!"

"It is definitely a billion," Guillermo said brightly, putting down his containers before he did a twirl to show off his cape, "this is like amazing, one of the best days ever!"

Jo arrived and managed to not trip over her cape when she arrived, she was carrying her boxes of sweets and chocolates, "hello," she smiled when she arrived.

"Hey, Jo!" Graham grinned at her as he swung a hand in the air in a wave, and then quirked a very expressively impressed eyebrow at her. "Why, and what a lovely new cloak you have there! I daresay, they seem to be...." Here, he pushed out his elbows to give his own double-cape a good flap, before they settled around him again. "...quite the trend these days!"

"Oh you're wearing two capes," Jo said with a smile as she noticed Graham's capes, "it did take some getting used to wearing," she admitted, as she half twirled to show her own cape, "I was trying to put books away at the library and the cape getting stuck," she told him.

Honestly, Libby was just mostly glad that, today, all her healthy snacks had stayed what they were, although she could imagine some people might consider broccoli to be a pretty scary food, regardless.

And she was, in fact, absolutely loving the cape. Even though she'd spent pretty much all day reveling in how it felt, she was still disappointed that they'd be sitting for the game, so that she couldn't enjoy it as much. She could definitely understand why Graham was such a fan of these things, and, through most of the session, she was probably going to be sitting with it wrapped a little bit around herself more like a blanket, because it just all felt so cozy and nice.

Vi was very much a sun's out, guns out kind of person (even if she wouldn't phrase it like that) so she was possibly less enamoured of the cape than others.

She was however, totally enamoured of the pizza she'd brought along.

Kurt definitely wasn't upset about the cloak, but it did kinda throw off his porting and balance a bit. There was a reason many of the X-Men had a No Capes policy and he was beginning to understand that a bit more. But still, it was cool and since he couldn't get rid of it he was definitely going to make the most of it and swish it around as he walked as much as he could.

So forgive the maybe slightly less graceful appearance of a caped Kurt as he ported into the playing nook, carrying a large container of German Chocolate and White Chocolate cookies.

"Hey Graham!" he said as he steadied himself and set the container down on the table.

"Hey, Kurt!" There was a little jump of surprise, still, at his sudden appearance with the porting, but it was soothed over with a chuckle and grin, although that grin faded a little into concern at the steadying.

"Everything alright?"

"Ah yeah.. just not used to wearing a cape," Kurt said with a slight head shake. "It really throws off balance and such when you aren't used to one. it likes to catch in the breeze of the porting. Think I will be sticking to walking for the rest of the day."

Once everyone was pretty well set with getting their snacks and capes in order, Graham cleared his throat and called everyone's attention to the game at hand, taking a moment to just switch gears into his game master mode, and then gave a nod to the table.

"Everyone had dallied about the town in their preparation for the journey ahead," which could, of course, be handwavily modded and retconned to one's heart content, as they definitely did happen, "but now the time has come to meet with your charge and set out on your journey to the northwest to the great island city of Mount Freeland, off the rocky coasts of the Great Arynethian Sea. There is certainly no mistaking that the elaborate carriage that sits on the road heading out of Cenmich belongs to the great Lady Debora: it is an ornate affair, all black and gilded in silver and gold, pulled by a team of two mighty black stallions. As you approach, the lady herself is in conversation with a short man who seems even more stout and rotund next to her tall, slender, self-important height, and she cuts herself off as she turns her attention toward the party. Her eyes drift up to the sky, as if to find the position of the sun, but it is a conveniently very cloudy and dreary day, the kind that feels as though it's on the brink of exploding with storms at any moment.

"'Whhhelll,' she says with a sniff, lifting her chin," as Graham also did, pulling himself up importantly, 'and here I was worried you wouldn't even bother showing up. I trust you're ready to depart, then?'"

Vi made a show of stretching. "Wind doesn't give any reaction to Debora's attitude, but she is mentally adding to the fee as she bows. 'We made a commitment, and fully intend to honour it.'"

Kurt spoke up after seeing of anyone else wanted to go next. "Amenken gives Debora a side-eye look and sighs. 'If you are so keen on us helping you, might not want to act so surprised that we are trusting you and showing up."
