The kitchen appeared to have finally worked through the potato situation, so this week Raiden was back to choosing the specials based on nothing but whim, and for some reason he was really feeling New Orleans-y today.

No, New Orleans wasn't known for their pizza. Don't be silly.

Yes, Oysters Rockefeller were a New Orleans original, invented at Antoine's in 1889. Didn't everyone know that?

"Howzit, brah!" Steve said, beaming as he walked into the store on his two human legs today.

"Steve! You're not an otter any more, that's great!" Raiden hoped he still liked seafood on pizza.

"I'm not!" Steve confirmed happily.

He was rocking a black eye but he wasn't an otter!

"Oh, what happened there?" Raiden asked, gesturing toward his own eye. "Want me to fix that for ya?"

Just an extra service they offered here at Pizza Planet on occasion.

"Eh, bar fight," Steve said. "I didn't duck fast enough."

Raiden nodded sympathetically. "I've never been much good at ducking, myself. Well. Doorways." Why were some of them so short?

"Never go on a submarine," Steve advised. "I forgot all the time. Thought I was gonna end with a permanent scar over my eyebrows."

"Good to know," Raiden said with a nod. "I'll tell my brothers, too." Except Gray. "What can I get started for you?"

"I want all three of them," Steve admitted, "but I think after the barfight, Danny's kinda over shellfish for the moment."

The Marines were pretty damn accurate with some oyster shells when a Navy SEAL mocks their service branch. Go figure.

"Let's go with the Cajun chicken."

Raiden did not so much as blink at the suggestion that Steve and Danny had had a barfight over shellfish. It sounded like a perfectly reasonable thing to have a barfight over to him. "Cajun chicken it is! And between you and me, the others might make a return appearance around Mardi Gras."

Not that he'd ever been to Mardi Gras, because Raiden at Mardi Gras would be terrifying.

"Have you been to Mardi Gras?" Steve asked, grinning.

Steven, no.

With Specs on a dinner date that day, Gladio was left to fend for himself in the food department, which could always mean more Cup Noodle^TM, but he liked to mix it up a little, and you could never go wrong with pizza.

"What about," he mused over the specials board, "a holy trinity of all three?"

Because you could also never go wrong with lefotever pizza, either, right? And he wasn't entirely sure he knew what some of those things even were, and that seemed like a fun way to find out.

Raiden considered this. "You want that on one pizza or three separate pizzas? I can do it either way." He was flexible like that.

"I was thinking three separate," Gladio clarified, with a small huff of a laugh. "That seems a bit much for just one pizza. Probably better to spread it around."

And then just stack the slices.

"It would be a lot of toppings," Raiden agreed. "You'd need a very sturdy crust. But three pizzas is much more reasonable." For Raiden definitions of reasonable.
