Stark Industries, Friday
Well, everything was incredibly weird, but they had an idea on how to fix it! Kind of. It just involved building a time machine to send people back to the nexus point for all these changes and guests.
If they put their heads together and didn't end up in a fist fight or something, it'd be fine!
Right? Right.
At the very least, there was the best equipment that Tony could get to the island on short notice in addition to his usual lab supplies. Just. You know. No one travel back to the 50's to live there, completely breaking the pre-established rules of time travel.

Re: Brainstorming Area
"So, seems like the island has been invaded by bad guys. From the past." Connor paused cuz yeah, that still sounded insane to say out loud. "So we need to figure out how to make a time machine or something... that can send them back to 1995 evidently."
So, yeah. Simple and easy. For this place at least.
Re: Brainstorming Area
"So right up your alley, then. Nice."

Re: Brainstorming Area
But hey, that didn't mean he couldn't try!
"That just means we get the fun part of experimenting," Michael decided. "Let's take a look at what we've got so far."
Re: Brainstorming Area
"I've been trying to disassemble some of the old Anomaly Detection Devices I have. See if anything in them can help us at least pinpoint the time we are trying to get to and help us get back so we don't get stranded."
That seemed like two very important points that needed to be ironed out before anyone started zipping back and forth through time.
Re: Brainstorming Area
"Two very important things," Michael said. "Do we have, like, a general era at least? 'Cause I feel like 'back in time' covers . . . a lot."
As Connor was well familiar with.
Re: Brainstorming Area
Re: Brainstorming Area
"1995." Michael frowned, tilting his head. "That's . . . I mean, I guess it's not any more random than any other year would be? But it feels weirdly random."
Re: Brainstorming Area
Connor gave a puzzled look of his own for a moment then shrugged. "All I know is that's the date that keeps getting thrown around, so that is what I am trying to set the tracker devices to."
Here Connor turned to look at Michael with a grin. "Got any ideas on how to go about testing the time sync and all in that genius mind of yours, Babe?"
Re: Brainstorming Area
"Well . . . it's a little short for carbon dating," Michael said cheerfully. "Maybe we can throw notes through little portals that say 'check this box if you know who Britney Spears is'."
Re: Brainstorming Area
"I definitely defer to your expertise on this point. I can manage small scale things. Not sure the brain is cut out for this level though.".
Because yes, Connor still wasn't sure he was the right kind of smart for something like this.
Re: Brainstorming Area
"Are you trying to convince yourself you're dumb again?" Michael asked. "Because that's probably the only dumb thing you actually do."
Re: Brainstorming Area
"But yeah, tossing notes could work. I could also rig up an RC car or something if someone has one, and we could drive it through the portal or whatever to see if we got the time right."
It had worked for scoping out anomalies without risking someone getting stuck in the Triassic or something, so it might work now.
Re: Brainstorming Area
"See? That's genius," Michael said. "We could tool it around until we find a calendar or something."
Re: Brainstorming Area
"If we end up in a town or something, we could look for a newspaper stand or something. Pretty solid way to confirm the date. And if we make it small enough (there was a definite 'we' in there because it was a team effort after all), we could get in and out without being noticed much!"
Re: Brainstorming Area
Michael looked around. "I bet there are some miniaturization experts around here, somewhere."
And that was without even meeting Scott or anything.
"Let's get to work."
Re: Brainstorming Area
And this felt good. Working on tech things again. Problem-solving. And doing it with someone who actually, for whatever reason, actually respected his ideas and stuff. It was relly nice.
