Well, everything was incredibly weird, but they had an idea on how to fix it! Kind of. It just involved building a time machine to send people back to the nexus point for all these changes and guests.

If they put their heads together and didn't end up in a fist fight or something, it'd be fine!

Right? Right.

At the very least, there was the best equipment that Tony could get to the island on short notice in addition to his usual lab supplies. Just. You know. No one travel back to the 50's to live there, completely breaking the pre-established rules of time travel.

You know, time machine was definitely not something yet on Amaya's list of accomplishments, and she was hardly one to miss the opportunity to add it.

Potentially saving the island from whatever weirdness was going on this time was just sort of an added bonus.

So she was here, looking ready to work and tinker and throw out ideas until they managed to get this all figured out.

(And she might be taking a few extra notes for an upgrade to the Crumbler while she was at it, too. What?)

Also that she wouldn't use it for evil. Don't use it for evil, Amaya. Don't you do it.

He wouldn't be surprised if Amaya had somehow made a time machine before.

Connor had spent a good bit of yesterday, when he wasn't dealing with his own related time-traveling problems, going over all his research and notes on the anomalies back home and the portal research since he had arrived on the island. So, there he was, arms full of papers and notes., ANd he also brought the Anomaly Detection Device and the other tech he had been working on as well. Would it be helpful? Maybe. Hopefully. No one could say he wasn't contributing.... and he had high hopes that it would be of some use.

"Any particular place you want us setting up?" he asked as he walked in, glancing around to see who all might be there.

"Any open space works," Tony said. He'd pulled the various armors up toward the ceiling to give more room. Also because he was possessive of them.

"Hi," Aloy said curtly. "So, the short version, for anyone who wasn't around yesterday: we think someone is messing around with the past, that's why people are changing. There's a yearbook from 1995 that mentions someone planning to mess around with some of the people who live here right now."

Time travel. She wasn't sure how she felt about the whole thing.

"And since there's clearly no one standing on top of a hill cackling about his crazy plan right now, that's the one lead we have," she said. "And apparently time travel is real. So..."

"Time travel is definitely real. At least in some timelines/realities," Connor offered. "I've been back to the time of the dinosaurs myself back in my reality so.... yeah it's a thing."

"Wait, wait -- someone wrote down part of their evil plan here in a yearbook?" Scott asked, actually raising a hand skeptically. "What? 'Have a good summer and PS I'm gonna do some time traveling once we graduate'?"

Man, what were the odds Scott would have ever found himself involved in time travel, of all things? He certainly wouldn't have bet on it!

(Scott was not good at gambling, really.)

"Anyone need anything that's too heavy to carry over from your own workshop, I got you," he called lightly, waving a hand with a teeny tiny disc that, frankly, should not be getting waved around willy-nilly no matter how friendly you wanted to seem, Scott.

Stark walked in, little yellow robot under his arm just in case the DRD might be of use.

"I'm not sure how much help I can be," he said, looking around. "But I'd like to do something if I can?"

This wasn’t exactly Cutter’s area of expertise but after the encounter with Helen yesterday he didn’t feel like being alone in the apartment right then.

“What can I do to help?” he asked softly.

Time travel being real was still tripping Beta up, to be honest, but mostly she was just focusing on being really glad that it wasn't an actual possibility in her and Aloy's reality.

Which. Well, it could be useful, that was for certain, but the idea of that kind of power existing where people like Far Zenith could get a hold of it... no thank you. That was far worse.

In any case she was here, taking stock of what they had to work with so she could start coming up with prototype schematics, possible testing scenarios, whatever they needed.

Irene, who was mostly here for extra detail-oriented eyes and another set of hands, was content to mostly stay out of the way and let the real geniuses work. (Best to continue to allow for the assumption that she didn't understand most of this, anyway.)

And besides, the coffee was quite good. Enough of a perk right there (that and being spared having to look at the awful 90s accessories that had apparently descended upon their fair isle.)

Connor was fueled half by coffee and half by geek energy. One was starting to slow down a bit, so it was time to top off with a fresh cup.

"Coffee's pretty good actually.... better than back home for sure" he said half to himself, half out loud, as he filled his cup.
