The Magpie Emporium; Friday [02/10].

The counter that day was cluttered with a wide variety of sheets and papers, charts and graphs, maps, dice, books, and a calculator.

It would, of course, be a fair guess to assume he was deeply entrenched in cooking up something truly epic and amazing for his tabletop group, but.....nope. You'd be wrong.

He was, instead, trying to figure out exactly what on Earth (quite literally!) he was going to do for his and Charlie's Valentine's Day date.

At least up until the point where Saffron decided that right in the middle of all his plotting and planning was exactly the spot she needed to plop down on, stretch out, and take a good long nap.

Which was annoying, at first, but, in retrospect, Graham would come to realize that the cat may very well have been doing him a huge favor after all.

Since last week had worked out quite well with bringing over the snacks in separate trips, Guillermo decided to do the same thing this week and he brought over the usual containers of empanadas (plus an extra container just for Graham), churros and mini chocolate puff pastry rolls, “hi,” he smiled when he saw Graham, “I’ve brought some food over early,”

"Awwwwww," the sound that wedged its way out of Graham was both ecstatic and awed and he hurried over to help Guillermo out, "you sure did! Amazing!"

Then he let out an eager laugh, already thinking of getting to sneak some pre-game snacking in a little bit with relish. "This is definitely something I could get used to! What've we got today, Guillermo? And how are you? Have you had a good week?"

Guillermo went a little red at that, as he adjusted his containers so Graham could help carry them, “well from the ones I bought over there’s empanadas of course, some churros and I tried making these mini chocolate pastry puffs as well,” he added, “and I’m good thank you, it’s been a pretty quiet week overall, how have you been?”

Graham was almost distracted by the promise of such amazing sounding food that he wasn't suddenly awkward in light of that question.

Almost. He gave a sheepish sort of chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck as he considered the scattered papers and plans on the counter behind him and wondered if he should mentioned them to Guillermo at all.

"Good!" he finally offered, though. "Pretty good! Just working on some stuff, going to classes, you know how it is! There was a koala in my Espionage class yesterday! That was pretty fun! I bet koala would be a really interesting language to learn."

“A Koala?” Guillermo said eventually now that the mun was free from workrather fascinated by that, having no idea about the aforementioned date planning with Charlie or any potential awkwardness “that could cause, “I’ve never seen a Koala before, only in books and on tv,” he paused, “I think you would be amazing at speaking Koala,” he said shyly.
