Turtle & Canary; Friday [03/17].

It probably went without saying that Turtle & Canary looked like a bunch of leprechauns binged on so many shiny cardboard shamrocks, green and white streamers, and shamrock-shaped glitter and the threw it all up all over the store. Apu had definitely dressed up for the occasion, and even the cheese panda and the canary had a hat (the turtle, already being green, needed no such assistance), which meant that Prompto stood out like a sore thumb in his much darker ensembles that leaned pretty heavily toward black with the occasional variation, but very rarely green.

Which meant getting pinched at every turn by one of them or the other, until he sulkily went to add a green bandana to the black one he usually wore around his arm, giving them a withering look and pointing out that this definitely counted as harassment, you guys, seriously.

At least it was a nice distraction from trying to figure out what in the heck this customer was talking about when she came in, asking for where they kept the frozen peas, and when Prompto explained that they were with the other frozen vegetables in, you know, the freezer aisle, she insisted there were other peas somewhere in a special pea freezer, and he had no idea what she was talking and neither did Apu or Summer (via text).

And only when he was faced with possibly texting Shunsui to ask about it did he start to uncomfortably wonder if that was some sort of euphemism.

Liz had gotten Noctra settled for the morning and she was really adorable in the green onesie that she had on for St. Patrick's day, so she sent over several photos of Noctra sleeping once she had gotten her settled.

hi how is everything over there? Anything exciting happening? I hope there aren't any bagpipes today! she didn't there would be this but it didn't hurt to check.

i did forget about the green thing today so i've been pinched more times than should be legally acceptable in a place of business, but I got it covered

Cue an incoming selfie of Prompto showing off the green bandana with his black one, which was not just an excuse to send his wife a picture of him flexing for a little bit of a private gun show, how dare you. All that baby lifting was going to be great for his biceps, though.

Well, if anything, Prompto could never claim his T&C workdays were BORING...

Oh I forgot to remind you Liz wrote back, feeling rather bad that she hadn’t thought to tell her husband about wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day but had remembered to have Noctra wearing green I’m sorry, but you look very handsome in that bandana :) Are you going to wear them both home? Yes Liz was very much enjoying the private gun show photo.

Then she read the next part, blinking a bit.
