Steve's Danny wanted salad? Raiden could do salad. No, not the side salads on the regular menu. Those were fine, those had their place, Raiden could eat a bucket of those, but they weren't worthy of the specials menu. They weren't pizza.

"Howzit, Raiden!" Steve called, coming into the shop.

"Steve! I hope Danny'll be happier with this week's specials," Raiden said like the oblivious optimist that he was. "I aim to please."

Because everyone loved tuna salad on their pizza, right?

Steve grinned. "He'll be thrilled you thought of him."

Probably!

"Of course I thought of him! I'm always looking to please my customers!" He just was misguided sometimes.

"But this is going above and beyond, man," Steve said, grinning.

"I don't think so," Raiden argued. "It's just trying something different. That's always fun!...Usually. That's usually fun." Sometimes things ended really badly.

Well, there was a reason Steve didn't go to Experimental Shot Night at Caritas, being a grown-up person who preferred his adventures in the 'let's jump out of airplanes in the dark' variety.

"I think it's fun," Steve assured him.
