Spring was in the air, and the remaining cricket flour had happily disappeared from the Pizza Planet's storeroom. Raiden was not complaining. Bugs might be the way of the future, but they had not been a hit with his clientele. Hopefully today's specials would be more to their fancy?

"I need something to cheer me up," Steve said, coming in around lunch. "Training courses are the worst."

Raiden thought very seriously about it for a moment, then declared, "You need carbs. They always cheer me up. Also, mozzarella sticks."

"And then a long jog," Steve said. "It's like the trifecta of happiness."

"Exactly!" Raiden agreed. "You totally get it!"

"Well, I try to," Steve said, grinning. "And I have another two hours of sitting in front of the screen yet to go. If I don't exercise, I'll go nuts."

"You train in front of a screen?" Raiden asked, confused. "I thought you were like a cop or something...? Actually I've just realized I don't really know how human cops work except from TV shows."

"Oh, normally it's all running and jumping and car chases and explosions," Steve assured him. Because he was from a procedural. "Today, though, I have to do the annual ethics certification and it's boring as hell."

It was times like these Raiden sort of wished he was smart like some of his brothers, who could have made a really sly deadly sin-based joke here. "Ethics," he said slowly. "Yeah, can't help you there." Hey, that wasn't bad, actually. "But I can help you with lunch!" And wasn't that more important, really?

"Lunch is definitely more important," Steve said, nodding.

"Most important meal of the...well, no, they're all the most important. Lunch, breakfast...second breakfast..." Those meta for hobbits had the right idea. "What kind of pizza can I get ya?"
