Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

Steven was in his usual spot behind the Welcome Desk. He had his glasses on and was scrolling through the pictures he'd taken of Shenanigans the previous day.

In theory he was debating if any of the pictures were worth turning into a display for the history section of the Museum. In reality he was having a hard time focusing as his thoughts kept turning to things that had come up for him on the weekend.

He didn't want his thoughts to linger there, though, so he did what he could to try to shake it off and stay on task.

He wasn't always successful.

Perhaps a beau might help?

Whether it was help distract from or help articulate those thoughts, though, remained to be seen.

"Hello, you."

Steven took his glasses off so he could see Llewellyn properly. He smiled. "Hello, you. Lunchtime already?"

“That it is,” Watts confirmed. “So I shall import you to put aside whatever it is you are working on and join me.”

"Gladly," Steven said. He pocketed his mobile and glasses and put out the sign that said he was taking lunch. He then came around the desk to stand beside Llewellyn. "Do I get to take your arm as well?"

“A moment,” Watts told him, whirling around to deposit his hat on the desk. Once he was back around to where he’d started, he held out his arm for Steven to take.

Both the movement and the offered arm made Steven smile. He linked his arm with Llewellyn's and said, "There you go being the highlight of my week again."

“And here I was, about to mention you being mine,” Watts replied.

"I'll never complain about hearing that," Steven told him. He may have been holding on to Llewellyn's arm a tiny bit tighter than usual.

“Good,” Watts said firmly. “Because no matter what else happens, these lunches with you very much are the highlight of my week.”

Because unless they weren’t at work for whatever reason, lunch always happened. Everything else, while there was some element of routine to their weeks usually, was up in the air.

"I like knowing I can bring you a smile," Steven said. "See you look up from your desk and your whole face brightens. It's nice to be able to do that for someone. Extra nice that it's you."

“That’s not exclusive to lunch time, of course,” Watts said. “I feel that way whenever I see you.”

"The same," Steven said. "But it feels like it being at work makes it an extra treat? Breaks up the day more?"

“That’s a very good point,” Watts said. “The Station can get- quite monotonous. Your presence is a welcome respite.”

"Precisely," Steven said. "I mean I enjoy working here. Good boss and coworker. But doesn't mean I don't like having handsome company in the middle of the day."

“You say that and you might inspire me to stop by more often than for just our lunch dates,” Watts said.

Oh no, what a terrible fate.

"Promise?" Steven replied. Because oh no, however would he cope, etc.

“I could make that happen,” Watts said, turning to press a quick kiss to Steven’s cheek.

Steven looked at him fondly, both cheeks coloring with happiness at the kiss. "You know someone who might be able to take care of that, do you?"

“I do,” Watts confirmed. “It should be easy enough.”

Steven patted Llewellyn's arm. "I appreciate you having a word on my behalf. Means a great deal to me to see my beau."

“The feeling is very mutual,” Watts said. “You’re my favourite person, after all.”

"And you mine," Steven said. He tugged on Llewellyn's arm. "Mind if I take a kiss?"

Watts, for his part, didn’t even take a cursory glance around before nodding. “Please.”

Steven did, in fact, note Llewellyn's comfort level with the gesture and was proud of him. However he kept any comment about that to the kiss itself, which did start as encouragement for Llewellyn but did turn into some of Steven's own need for comfort.

And kissing was one of those things they did enough of that even without words, Watts could pick up on that need for comfort, and thus was doing his best to provide that as he kissed back.
