Parents' Weekend Brunch, The Park, Sunday

The weekend was drawing to a close - but not quite yet! There was still a little more time to hang out with your loved ones, or your loved ones' loved ones, or whatever your particular situation may have been.

And on Sunday, the town was providing a space for that in the shape of a brunch. Because everyone loved more free food.

It felt weird to think that the weekend was almost over and that Becker, Lester and Connor were going to be leaving soon but at least they still had a bit of time before they had to leave to head back to the ARC and they were making most of the morning.

"Ok so head's up" Connor said when he met up with Cutter that morning. "Lester seems to be in one of his moods. Evidently, he woke up with glitter all over the bed and according to Becker he's taken three full showers already today trying to wash it all off." Connor was trying relly hard not to laugh but he couldn't keep the smirk off his face.

"Oh James is not going to let me hear the end of this," Cutter sighed, "so much for promising him that he wasn't going to get any glitter at his hotel room," he paused, "I'm guessing Becker managed to avoid the glitter?"

"I did not"Becker said as he walked over. His black shirt and pants were looking a bit be-dazzled with glitter. "Do they actually spread this stuff around the island on purpose or something? I haven't had this much glitter on me since I had to give that talk at the elementary school back when I was just out of boot camp!"

Cutter couldn't help but snigger at the sight of Becker with the glitter, "well at least this time your shirt's not destroyed because I ended up crying on it?" he offered instead.

It had been an oddly-- good weekend. Felt like Mical and him had cleared the air in a lot of ways they probably should've done years ago.

But now it was Sunday, and Atton didn't have much left to say. So he left Mical to peruse the food, and sat down somewhere along the edges. Just taking it all in.

No guests for Graham, his mother and sisters couldn't really make the journey again this year, but he and Triumph, at least, could make the journey to the park to maybe meet some other people's guests...and maybe scope out what kind of food to pick through and enjoy while he was there, hoping specifically for some pies.

But, if anything, riding Triumph around the park during these kinds of events was sort of one of his favorite things! They could practice looking very important and knightly, and it was usually a good way to get Triumph a few pets and scritches from appreciative brunchers, as well!

Bellamy had plenty of time for one more round (or two or three) before he and Alastair had to head back to California, so of course he was at brunch, checking out the, shall we say, non-food offerings available.

If she managed to catch Bellamy's eye, Grimm would absolutely give the Nephilim a saucy little wave of her fingers - and, of course, a small, satisfied smile.

Listen, she wasn't one for giving more attention to her one night stands than necessary, at least after the night was over, but artistry deserved acknowledgment.

Bellamy gave a flirtatious little wave back, because he wasn't one to be rude to a former hookup.

At least, not if they had anything going for them besides a potential meal for Lust, which Grimm definitely did.

The lion's share of Grimm's attention remained on her companions, but she did occasionally glance up at him from time to time. The young woman she was talking to also glanced over, but as soon as he met her bright amber eyes, she blushed a bit and immediately turned back around again.

Grimm laughed, her bright, "So you are still a virgin!" loud enough for Bellamy to overhear.

Unlike the Nephilim and the djinni both, Arden was pretty sure this island was the worst.

"Believe me, little bird, you need to find words better than just good," Grimm declared before Duke could reply. "The things I learned. The things he did. He just--you're still a virgin, right?"

Duke chuckled while Arden sputtered. "Not as fulfilling as some, but overall a good time," he said, voice deep and rumbling.

"It probably could have been," Grimm offered. "Pretty sure he swings all ways and you're pretty hot." She patted him on the shoulder. "Plus...he knew so much." She made a happy little noise of contentment.

And so he swept by the brunch table at one point or another. Perhaps they'd have mimosas?

It had been a good weekend catching up with Logan and showing him around the island some. And though the time was wrapping up quickly, the brunch would be a great way to wrap up the visit. So Kurt was there, getting a big plate of food while he waited for Logan.

"Good to see this place is treating you well, kid," he opened with. "Staying here another year, then?"

Without any guests of her own this weekend, Eleanor figured at least going to the brunch would be a good way to at least avoid just moping in her room. It didn't seem like guests were required to participate, anyway, but i they were, she supposed she'd find out, as she grabbed some food and had a seat and just sort of idly watched everyone else with their visitors and had second thoughts about this being better...
