Pizza Planet, Saturday

Pizza Planet was not exactly closed today and it wasn't exactly open for business as usual, either, but a (not-at-all-)secret, third thing, which was: hosting Friendsgiving. If someone really wanted to walk in and order a pizza Raiden would absolutely make that happen for them, but why would they bother, when they could walk in and partake of...well. After Rey had asked Raiden to help out with the food, things might have gotten out of hand, because this was Raiden, and this was Thanksgiving, and this was Fandom, so what if someone had never had pie before?

The doors were open, the tables were groaning with food (which Raiden had carefully arranged so that if people brought their own contributions to the feast there was room for them), and the specials board read:

FRIENDSGIVING!

Stark had skipped actual Thanksgiving on Thursday when he'd been suddenly inspired to call home and had talked to everyone on Moya for much longer than anticipated.

He wasn't about to miss this gathering though. Especially when Raiden was cooking and Summer was providing jello.

"Stark! Good to see you, man, how've you been?" Raiden asked when he caught sight of him.

"I've been well," Stark said, nodding. "And you? This is...a lot. Have you been cooking for days?"

"Well, I took a break there in the middle to go to California and have Thanksgiving with my family," and cook for them instead, "but yeah, basically. The staff helped some. Oh, don't worry, I gave them a bonus," he assured Stark before he could think to worry about it.

That's because Raiden was a Good Guy.

Stark flashed him a smile. "Good. As long as you enjoy doing so much cooking."

"The only thing I enjoy more than cooking is eating," Raiden assured him. "Good thing one leads to the other, right?"

"Good thing," Stark echoed. "I should learn to cook more things. I like doing it. I like baking more but I like the cooking too."

"I like both," Raiden admitted. "I do more cooking than baking, because, well. You gotta eat, y'know? We didn't used to have these ready meals. Although I guess technically making pizza is baking..."

"I've never made my own pizza," Stark said. "Maybe I should try it. But yours are very good so I don't need to..."

"You should!" Raiden encouraged him. "It's fun! Not that there's anything wrong with buying it from me...or, y'know, the frozen ones, but it never hurts to learn a new skill, right?"

"I worry what Summer might do to a pizza," Stark confessed, glancing over in her direction with a smile. "But it might be fun to find out. And if it's terrible I can always order one from you."

It was possible Stark had missed some of Raiden's previous specials. Still, "That's the spirit! If it helps I don't think you can put Jello on pizza. Or can you..." Hmmm.

He had missed some of the specials, yes. But also Summer did it on purpose.

"Please don't suggest that to her," Stark said, eye wide. "Or say it too loud."

Boc was, of course, doing as he always did at such things by staying out of the way and nibbling on his food in a way that would hopefully not disturb any one else, but he couldn't help but let his eyes linger on Stark for a moment, in particular the general state of his buttons and seams at the moment in a careful, somewhat judging eye.

All of Stark's current clothing was in order.

For now. Who could say what might happen this evening?

"Hello, Boc!"

Boc winced at the greeting, realizing a bit too late that subtly was not a skill in which he possessed, not now and not ever.

"Er, um, ah," he stammered, before his head bobbed a little bit in a nod. "Hel-hello. Erm, uh, happy Thanksgiving? Friendsgiving? I believe it's...both, actually? I, uh, mostly just came in for a pizza, really..."

Talk about timing!

"You're going to stay for dinner, aren't you?" Stark asked. "Happy Friendsgiving. I didn't really know this was something people did but I like it. So far."

"It's certainly nothing I'd've experience back home," Boc said, shaking his head again before his eyes started to rove over the transformation the place had gone through with wide, wondering eyes, "that's for sure! Perhaps in all those big fancy castles and manors or the academy at Raya Lucaria, but nothing like this for demi-humans like old Boc. But I...might stay. Since I'm already here. And no one seems to be bothered by it, and all."

Look at him! Learning! Progress!

...which meant he was likely due for a Tree-ening again soon, most likely...

"Not something I had back home either," Stark said. "Though I think my shipmates might enjoy it. Some of them, at least. You should stay. You're welcome here."
