Raiden had had a lot of customers calling in over the last couple of days with problems he couldn't wrap his head around, because they involved leftover pizza, and who ever had leftover pizza? Not anybody in any household he had ever been in, that was for sure.

Then he had tried to make some fun pizzas for his class and things had gotten a little hairy up in here, so they had shifted gears.

Pizza Planet is open, because fighting weird monsters takes carbs, and serving just the regular menu, thank you very much.

Don't judge how happy Steve looked about having something to attack, please, Raiden. "You good in here?" he checked, poking his head in as he made rounds.

Raiden would never judge that! He had brothers like that, after all. He twisted to show Steve the big ol' broadsword strapped to his hip. "We're good," he assured him. "Just tryin' to keep people fed, y'know? You guys good out there?"

"So far," Steve said, nodding. "That's a sweet sword, man."

Raiden shrugged. "It gets the job done. And it's celestial steel, so it'll kill just about anything." A major bonus, if you asked him, when you didn't know WTF was out there.

"Nice," Steve said approvingly. "I just have guns."

"Oh, I don't really like guns," Raiden admitted. "But you do you, yeah? Can I get you anything?"

"It's not going to attack?" Steve checked. "We've gotten calls about french fries."

[carbsliftthespirit]

"It shouldn't," Raiden said. "I think. You will notice we've scaled back to the regular menu...I think all the angry calls about leftovers gone wild were from the specials, anyway." Who could have expected the Flamin' Hot Cheetos mac & cheese pizza would go rogue?

Well.

"I can see that," Steve said. "I've only been aggressively earwormed, but I don't think that's related to whatever's happening. I'll take my chances and grab some lunch."

"If the pizza goes evil, you have my permission to shoot it," Raiden said solemnly. Even though it made him sad to think about.

"I promise to feel guilty as I do it," Steve said with a nod.

"Pizza deserves better than this," Raiden said solemnly. "It's too good for this world. Too pure. Like cinnamon rolls, you know. Ooh, cinnamon roll pizza--no. Now is not the time."

"Save that thought for when everything isn't so strange," Steve agreed.
