Summer was feeling infinitely better now that she'd had time last night to dye her hair back to (or fairly close to, anyway!) her natural color, and working on her jello shots today and tending to her new tattoo (still bandaged up for the night, just below the base of her neck) had helped with that, as well. And she was glad she didn't have to go through the whole 'my coworker doesn't recognize me' bit with Tino like she had to do with Apu.

Because you know Tino would have so been obnoxious like that.

Instead, she only had to deal with Tino being the normal amounts of obnoxious as she came in to get things set up for the evening as they should be.

"Hey Summer," Dean said climbing up on the bar stool which was a weird experience as Dean was usually taller. "I'll have the Kung-Fu punch just because of the name alone."

And Summer was squinting a little at Dean, because while she was not surprised that someone she presumably didn't know would still know who she was, it did throw her off a little, on her bar night, at least.

"Now that," she then declared confidently before setting the requested shot down in front of this unidentified patron, "is the kind of logic I can get behind. Anything else to get you started tonight? Or just that for now?"

"I'll have my usual rotgut whiskey," Dean replied before snapping her fingers in realization. "Right. It's Dean. Apparently I'm a woman now. Or at least for another day."

With this new information, Summer squinted at Dean again. "Huh," she said, and then went to find an okay-ish whiskey to pour for him. "Yeah, okay. I can see it. When did that start?"

"Yesterday," Dead said with a sigh. "It's fine. At least I'm not a dog or a dog who solves mysteries. That was Monday."

"Woooow," said Summer, looking mildly impressed. "Just hitting all the marks. But, hey." She gave Dean another appraising lokk-over with an approving smirk as she set down his drink. "Looks good on you, at least.

"What kind of dog were you?" she asked. "I mean, besides one that solves mysteries."

"I'm fine with how I look, but I want to shave the hair off," Dean said, brushing it out of her face for the 1000th time today. "I don't know how people deal with it. But as for the dog? Yeah, I was a pitt bull. At least where I'm living the house generated a doggie door so I wasn't trapped in my room."

Now there was some irony, considering that house's history!

"That was...nice? of it," Summer said, head tilting a little. "I know that's definitely been the real kicker when everyone turns into ponies. As a squirrel, I can at least get through to places via vents and sometimes the cracks under doors or slightly open windows."

"See this explains why the squirrels get so much dirt on us," Dean mused. "And this is not the first time I've heard about the ponies. I assume that's just another weekend thing?"

"Or maybe just a one-shot day thing sometimes?" Summer squinted a little as she tried to recall. "It's hard to keep some of the finer details in order, but, hey, I'd say that's a pretty good sign, if you're a pony tomorrow or something, that you're getting the speed-run treatment."

"So since I'm doing this now, I don't have to do it again, right?" Dean asked hopefully.

Summer actually barked out a laugh at that.

"Oh, Dean," she said, with an indulgent sort of smile and a wrinkle of her nose. "You're adorable, you know that?"

Dean did a long, long exhale of breath. "I'm going to need two more shots," Dean replied.

Sure Rey had already talked to Dean today but she was three shots and half a drink in, so.

"You're still a girl," she said, actually looking delighted by that.

"I still am," Dean said raising an eyebrow in amusement of Rey. "How are you feeling, Rey?"

"You know what? I'm good. I'm really good," she said. "How are you?"

Woukd she actually register the answer? Let's see!

"I'm good. And also still a woman," Dean teased as she sipped her whiskey. "So you're really really good?"

"Really really good," she nodded. "It might be the shots. Have you tried the shots?"

"I have. Just the one. Definitely not as many as last week," Dean said with a slow nod, and evaluating Rey's condition. "Exactly how many shots have you had?"

"Just three," she said, sipping her drink. "I'm fine, though."

Okay.

Okay, in Dean's mind that's not a lot. She's fine. In fact....

"Oh then you should have another one," Dean said signaling Tino for more shots. "I'll have one with you."

Welp!

"The dragonfruit are the best ones," she said helpfully.

"Two dragonfruit and the kung-fu punch" Dean clarified. "The punch is for me."

Hey, at least Rey wasn't drinking alone!

"Thank you," Rey said. "I usually don't have this many."

But after a certain point you just go 'sure!'

Dean handed one shot to Rey and clinked her glass. "Bottoms up!" Dean said as he downed his shot.
