The Beach By The Boardwalk, Monday Afternoon

It was the first day of break and Arden was going to spend it the way the goddess had intended it: out on the beach with the salt and the sea and the sun and the sand, sorry Anakin. She was sprawled out on a blanket with a towel or two next to her and a cooler of drinks and snacks. She had a book with her for later, but right now she was enjoying the warmth while sending out a text to all the usual suspects (and a few new ones for good measure) inviting them to come and spend the day out on the beach with her.

[Open to all! If you think you got a text, you did, or maybe you just happened to be wandering up the beach and decided to chill!]

Belle's own cheeks were, of course, also only pink from the sun.

"I'm glad you found them interesting. Hopefully enjoyable as well?"

Another delicate cough. "I bought a few of them of my own, since the other ones were from the library and I thought it would be nice to have my own copies."

Thank the goddess she was the one doing radio tomorrow.

Belle nodded sagely.

"It is nice having them for yourself. Not having to worry about returning them. Have you been to the book shop since it reopened? I haven't made it there yet but I hope to soon."

"Oh, no, I haven't," Arden said. "Some new...ship's captain owns it now or something, right?"

"I believe so," Belle said. "That seems quite the change to go from seafaring life to owning a book shop but I suppose other people here have made bigger adjustments."

Like say a certain cute Jedi Arden might be acquainted with for example? Maybe?

Oh was she? Huh! Hard to say! She surely hadn't noticed any random Jedi's cuteness at all! Really!! Honest!!!

That was also a totally normal number of exclamation points, thank you.

"Did he intend to show up here?" Arden asked. "Or did did he just end up here by accident?"

...As also happened sometimes to Jedi of variable cuteness of Arden's acquaintance.
