The Beach By The Boardwalk, Monday Afternoon

It was the first day of break and Arden was going to spend it the way the goddess had intended it: out on the beach with the salt and the sea and the sun and the sand, sorry Anakin. She was sprawled out on a blanket with a towel or two next to her and a cooler of drinks and snacks. She had a book with her for later, but right now she was enjoying the warmth while sending out a text to all the usual suspects (and a few new ones for good measure) inviting them to come and spend the day out on the beach with her.

[Open to all! If you think you got a text, you did, or maybe you just happened to be wandering up the beach and decided to chill!]

"I know I'd like to hear it," Eleanor offered encouragingly. "Do you have a favorite song to play?"

"That's like asking a mom who their favorite child is," Charlie said with a laugh. "But probably, well, something Canadian. Maybe a Gordon Lightfoot, since he's a music god."

Well, favorite children was definitely a thing in the Zarrin household, although, to be fair, Eleanor's mom wasn't likely one to pick one over the other. So she smiles a little at the idea of the sentiment at least.

"I don't think I know him," Eleanor, you barely knew any music at all, "but he might have been after my time. Sounds like he's worth looking into, though."

Charlie's mother definitely doted on the twins far more tham Charlie. There was a reason she spent all the time she could at her cousin Allie's.

"I highly recommend him," Charlie said. "Great voice and great songs."
