Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

There was a new delivery of Fandom Island Museum postcards and fridge magnets come in. Inventory wasn't the most glamorous of jobs, but in this case Steven didn't mind counting through them all to make sure the numbers were right. Once that was done he'd get them set up on the displays for sale.

It was easy enough work, though it did require concentrating. So any visitors who came in and needed Steven would likely find him behind the desk, frowning and counting under his breath as he counted.

"I shall never tire of hearing it," Watts told him. "Nor telling you how much I want you, in all ways."

"Which I'll never tire of hearing either," Steven said. He kissed Llewellyn's hand. "I like knowing you desire me. My company. All of it."

"Oh, very much so," Watts told him.

"It's nice," Steven admitted. "Being desired by someone as handsome and wonderful as you."

"I am pleased you find me so," Watts told him. "Thank you."

Steven grinned. He poked Llewellyn in the center of his chest with a single finger. "I find you here. Sat next to me. As you should be."

"Scoundrel," Watts shook his head.

"Yours," Steven replied, looking very proud of himself.

"My scoundrel," Watts agreed smugly.

Steven snickered. "Actually I like that one. You can keep saying it."

An expression of concern settled over Watts's face. "Are there terms I use for you that you don't like?" he asked.

Steven shook his head. "No. I'd tell you. Only - I know sometimes when I try something new for you you tell me if you like it. I was trying to do the same is all."

"Oh," Watts relaxed. "Well, that's all right then. I fully support that. I like being certain."

"Like when I called you my dear," Steven said. "You let me know that you liked that, so I keep doing it."

"Makes me feel wanted, when you say that," Watts said quietly, reaching to fix Steven's shirt collar.

"My dearest," Steven said. "And darling? You seemed to like that as well?"

"That one was- novel," Watts said. "As I am usually applying it to you."

"Novel?" Steven asked. "Not liked?"

"I liked it in the moment?" Watts said, feeling it out. "But-" he frowned, not sure how to articulate it beyond that.

[hasaknightjob]

"You prefer it as your word for me?" Steven suggested.

"Yes," Watts said emphatically, because Steven had hit the nail right on the head as it were.

"No, no, that's all right," Steven said, almost eagerly because it seemed they were on the same page. "Because I sort of felt it was yours? But I didn't want you to miss out on something if you wanted me to call you it?"

"Maybe that's a little- " he stopped himself before he could say silly. "Peculiar. Of me. To not particularly want to be called that in return. But there it is."

[hasaknightjob]

"Not at all," Steven said. He brushed a lock of hair away from Llewellyn's face. "I only wanted to be sure it wasn't something you felt you were missing out on. If you don't like it that much it's easy enough not to use."

Watts gave him a soft smile. "I would prefer to keep it for you," he affirmed.
