There were several things wrong with the fact that, when Summer came in that evening for her shift, Tino was ready to go and show off his new pistachio pudding shots, and the fact that he was trying to step in on her territory was only one of them. That was the most annoying of the reasons, but she was honestly not sure what she found more disturbing about the other tidbits. Because she was pretty sure he got that pudding from the pool at the gym (because she was there, as always on Tuesday, no matter what the pings said!), which...gross, but also that if that were true, then that also meant that Tino had been hitting the gym, too, which was potentially grosser.

"I'm going to warn them it's gym pool pudding," she warned him as she started to write up the specials board, and he objected that she had no proof of that.

"Fine, then," she amended, "I'm going to warn them that you made them."

Which he couldn't deny and yet would still serve the original purpose of making sure most people avoided them. Problem solved.

It was probably the lure of a social experiment that brought Dean into the bar today.

Just kidding. It was the booze.

And then he saw the special board and knew what his order was going to be. "Three cherry pies please!"

And now he was going to have the song by Warrant going through his head the rest of the evening.

"I am truly shocked and surprised by this unexpected turn of events," Summer stated, smirking faintly, always appreciating being able to kill two birds with one stone, or, in this case, rope in two patrons without an effort at all (well, besides the effort of making them itself, but shhh) due to a mutual character trait, and she neatly set the pies down in a row for Dean. "Enjoy. And how's it going, Dean?"

Dean paused for a second as he had a slight epiphany. "I honestly don't have anything to complain about," he admitted.

Especially after he glued two googly eyes to that damn chair yesterday and sent him back into the store.

"I mean, what else can a guy ask for? Pie and booze in one handy serving and good people to hang out with. Can't ask for more than that, am I right?"

"I mean," said Summer, immediately, "you absolutely can ask for a lot more than that, but maybe I'm just, like, high maintenance or whatever. But that's good to hear! No complaints is a pretty great thing! I assume. I wouldn't know, I always have at least five things I could probably complain about if given half the chance, but none of them, at least, are, like, big things, so that's usually my margin. Nothing actively annoying or bothering me seems like a pretty good week."

She then paused, and amended:

"Tino notwithstanding."

Which probably went without saying, but also probably needed to be said, too.

"Well if you want to name at least the top one complaint to me, I can lend you an ear to yell into," Dean offered. "As long as it's not Tino. After last week I've decided just to ignore him going forward."

He was definitely doing that. Dean wasn't even looking in that direction. Not after the Malort Pie (which admittedly was Dean's own choice) incident and especially with what Tino put on the special's board.

Summer paused a moment, considering Dean and the suspicion that his eyes were very decidedly not venturing to certain areas of the bar, and then ventured, "Does me asking what was finally the straw that broke the associating with the legacy bartender's back count as not ignoring him?"

“He created something so horrible that it offended me to my very core,” Dean said in very amiable tones. “Admittedly, I partook of that item of my own free will. That is on me. However, he is now dead to me.”

"I'm interested to see how long that lasts," Summer said, taking this all in with no small amount of amusement and perhaps a weird touch of triumph, as if any slight against Tino was a victory for everyone, really, "but good on you for taking a stand."
