Stark Bitty Tower - Yule Party - Friday Evening

The ballroom was done up for the Yule in honor with a particularly unique chandelier at the ready to keep with the theme. There was a collection of trees for the guests to help decorate and a distressing number of mistletoe hung around with care. If you were prone to enjoying that.

The trees ranged from table-sized to ceiling-scraping and a few of them already had decorations on them: one filled with ornaments clearly made by children, one full of Avengers action figures (how were there so many suits, Tony? How?), and one decorated with the natural ornaments traditional for Yule: berries, pinecones, and dried fruit. Steve and Tony had overruled actual candles on any of the trees, but the traditional fire to celebrate the season was flickering from its containment area on the roof.

And it was snowing indoors just enough to be thematic, but melting before it could actually reach the guests and mess up their nice clothing. Because sometimes Tony just needed to flex on the science skills. Sometimes.

Summer was never one to miss a party if she could help it, and she definitely wasn't missing one of Tony and Steeeve's, especially since, well, even if it was so much classier than the Christmas ragers of the past, this was the holiday party of the season, right?

Right.

And she was absolutely beaming in what she felt was an expert and deft nod to the Ugly Christmas Sweater^TM tradition while also being cute and classy in her dress, and, if you looked closely, you might even be able to notice the pink and sparkles in her hair, too.

Well, you might not have to look too closely with how much she was flipping it over her shoulders. Look, she didn't wear it down often, but when she did...

Technically, this was a work event for Yelena, but that didn’t stop her from dressing impeccably for the occasion, with just a subtle nod to the season added her ensemble.

While she pretended to sip her wine, she made quiet circuits around the room, her eyes scanning for any signs of trouble. Trouble was doubtful to occur but you never know when an unexpected invasion or rogue technology might appear and spoil the evening.

He looked up at the chandelier for a long moment then looked around the rest of the room.

Sorry to anyone who'd placed their bets regarding the state of Gladio's shirt for the event on 'nonexistent,' because he had icons a very nice red sweater (with matching hat!) for the occasion this evening!

He made up for being so seasonally shifted by pairing it with his nicest leather pants, though.

Percival arrived not long after the party. Unfamiliar with yule and holiday festivities that weren't his own and horrified by the holiday sweaters last week, Percy opted for his Typical formal wear with a slight nod to the more modern tie and vest that went along with it. If he felt out of sorts wearing a tie as opposed to his usual ascot, he certainly didn't show it.

He surveyed the room looking for both people he knew and those who he might find interesting.

Don, it must be said, polished up nice. He'd maybe forgotten how nice, what with how long it had been since he'd worn a proper suit--yes, navy. Look, Christmas wasn't his holiday. He wasn't doing the whole red and green thing. But he did have a nod to the season in his tie...and he'd managed to replace his favorite cufflinks.

Subtle? What was that?

Lydia? Miss a ball? You must be thinking of some other girl. She even had a new dress for the occasion, although she was going to have to wrap up quite warmly if she wanted to visit the roof...or perhaps that was what charms were for. Her coat didn't quite go with her ensemble, after all, and she'd hate to cover her new dress.

But first she had to stare up for a while at the seemingly magic snow.

Never fear, someone who could absolutely put a dent in that wild boar was here! And refusing to regret his choice of apparel because look at it, it was beautiful, but maybe wondering if this was a classier kind of soiree than that.

Eleanor never really knew how to dress for these sorts of things, but she had been sort of taking notes, as it were, on what seemed to get...well, certain reactions, and so she tried to steer that way with her choices. And honestly? She felt like she may have done pretty well with the dress she'd chosen.

And she got it from Pixie Dust, so Boc was nice enough to be able to fashion a shawl out of a similar material to match for the cold.

Definitely for the cold and not at all for any confidence reasons...

At some point in the evening Donald Blake quietly slipped out of the room, followed a few minutes later by one of those weird random lightning strikes that had been plaguing the island since May.

So weird. So random.

Shortly after that, Thor finally made his appearance. He was dressed, as he had told Yelena he would be, in his usual armor, although Don mused, We could have added a fur or something.

"Bit late now," Thor observed under his breath.

Graham's mother had made him a whole new outfit to wear to his next big event here on Fandom, and the Yule party seemed like a great time to bust it out! She'd done such a great job, making it reminiscent of the official uniform of the Daventry Guard, while giving it some touches that truly made it perfect for a proper knight. And it matched his usual cloak nicely, too! She'd even made a red version of his adventurer's cap with a yellow feather in it so that could match, too! He'd feel pretty naked without it, after all.

And he was, clearly, as you could see, very impressed with the decor, especially that chandelier, and he drew in a deep breath and his stomach let out a sound of agreement, because he could swear he could smell that boar from all the way down here!

Watts was here, along with Steven whose player would ping in later, sporting one of his usual suits- the dark grey pinstripe- and a new waistcoat with matching tie.

His hat, as per usual, ended up hanging somewhere not actually intended to function as a hat rack.

As usual, Prompto's fashion choices were being entirely dictated by his child's whims. And so when Noctra picked out her dress for the party, Prompto then picked out his suit to match.

And now to try to decide if he dared risking setting Noctra down once they were here. He knew as soon as those cute little burgundy velvet shoes touched the floor, he'd be pretty much chasing her until he was able to snatch her back up again. Thankfully, she was still entranced by all the decorations when they arrived to start fussing quite yet.

Maybe once he managed to get an excuse to foist her onto Gladio or Ignis for a few moments....

Steven had, in fact, arrived with Llewellyn as earlier pings foretold. Given various parties of the past he wasn't certain what festive attire could mean. So he decided to at least match Llewellyn by wearing a suit with a vest and a dark blue pocket square and tie.

Steven looked around, clearly impressed by everything that had been done for the party. One might even say he was marveling at it.

Well, Stewart thought, as he slid his way into the party with a red and green sequin jacket, giving his matching top hat a little tilt to roll down his arm, and....fumbled with it, dropping it, and then he cleared his throat and scooped it back up to put back on his head and then looked around hoping no one had noticed, and tried again.

Well, Stewart thought, not doing a hat trick but instead just making completely unnecessary swivels of his head and shoulders to scope the place out before choosing some dark corner to skulk in, with a faint scoff. Annual Christmas party at Katy and Wayne's farmhouse this soiree was not.

Although that would have been much more preferable, but, well, he was at the fancy Christmas party held by people he didn't even know anyway, because it would have felt even worse about it if he'd skipped out on it.

Rey always made an appearance at these, which sadly meant she had to abandon the Snuggie. Instead she was wearing a simple black dress that she'd probably worn to a few parties before. She didn't even look uncomfortable, probably thanks to the sexy popcorn situation.

And as soon as she got there she had to look up for the chandelier.

Another party with Liliana once again not in her signature color! But the invite had said 'festive' and the purple Christmas dress she'd worn looked too much like last years' and so here she was in something altogether different.

Of course her obligatory glance up at the chandelier got a doubletake and a quick blink before her expression settled along its usual amused lines.

Arden had found a cute Christmas dress to wear to the party. Even if she just ended up hanging out with Kams all night, at least she looked cute.

Where there was a bonfire and also a massive wild boar roasting on a spit. Because Thor could not convince anyone to allow a fire indoors no matter how he asked.

Also? Cheese fridge. Who didn't enjoy a cheese fridge?

Look, there was a bonfire, meat, and fridge full of cheese. Where else would you expect to find Dean Winchester, fully in his element, feeding his face?

His plate was stacked high with thick slabs of roasted boar and generous portions of cheese, and he’d even managed to convince one of the servers into finding him a plain old bottle of beer. (Thanks Jeremy!)

Considering most of his holiday celebrations had been spent in rundown motels with Sam and gas station food for dinner? This was his happy space.

Yep. Kamala was back in her suit and managing the catering again. And, of course, one of the servers had called in sick, leaving her to face her old nemesis.

"I have a timer going, Jeremy. Don’t test me," she hissed quietly into her headset, tapping her foot impatiently.
