Coming back to Fandom after going home to Letterkenny for the break had been incredibly difficult for Stewart, to the point where he almost didn't want to. To the point where he'd questioned why he'd even bothered. His time there hadn't been bad by any margin of the word, but it had been different and challenging in ways he wasn't used to and, most of all, lonely, something that always sort of lingered there under the skin but became this heavy, palpable thing when he realized how less lonely he was back home. Hanging out in the basement with Roald (and Connor and Darien). The Christmas party at the farm, where Wayne actually got him school supplies and Katy told him she was actually proud of him. Reconnecting with Aly-cat and Bianca-Donk for New Years in the city, and finding out that Gae, of all people, had actually been asking about him. It had been a good couple of weeks, and the only thing that prevented him from pulling out for good and staying was that inevitable look of disappointment on Katy's face if he did.

Unbelievable, what that face could do. Unprecedented. Unrelenting.

Besides, it was the first Thursday of the month. It was the first Thursday of the year. And Katy had thought it was cool that he was getting into his music again, and doing something that involved bringing people into it. So he was back, and he was here, and he went almost straight to the shop to get things set up for that evening, even though every fiber of him wished he was still back in Letterkenny.

But the show must go on. And if he was going to breech an attempt to reach out to Gae, it was not going to be from some darkened corner on a sagging couch in his mom's basement.

Belle wasn't necessarily vibing but she was enjoying the music. Was that close enough?

Graham had almost forgotten that this was even going on tonight, but then he remembered he had asked around to see if anyone knew any good songs he could potentially sing while he was home. He still didn't know if he would actually get up there, but he had them in his pocket(s) if he felt so inspired!

A dramatic reading of some of his favorite knight tales also seemed like a good option.

He should really talk to Charlie about potentially providing him accompaniment, too...

Yes, yes, he should!

"Graham!" Charlie excleimed happily. "You're here! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and all that good stuff, and also, guess what!"

"Charlie!" Graham exclaimed happily back. "I am! And so are you! Merry Christmas! And happy New Year! And, ooooh! Did they finally take my letter about choco-chip pancake flavored jelly beans into consideration?"

What? She said to guess!

"Wait! No! The pillow tree on the roof finally started sprouting down blankets? Or hold on! Leroy finally got himself a squirrelfriend? Did the moose finally take that trip to Aruba?? Is there a sale on snickerdoodles?!?"

"No, but all of those things sound wonderful!" Charlie said cheerfully, "But no, sadly, now my news seems far less exciting. Still..."

She grinned at him. "Guess who's turned out to be a senior? That would be me! Got the news from the moose him/her/or their self!"

Take to the stage and give it your best open mic performances. Or your worst. Intentionally or otherwise.

Stewart hadn't had a lot of time to put something together for tonight, so his set for the evening was maybe a little less inspired and passionate than his previous ones, but it would still give him some time at the turntables and get peoples' heads bobbing, at least. The important thing for him, that evening, was just that he did it and didn't succumb to the all too easy siren call of not doing it at all.

Belle's head did bob along with the music.

None of it was something she would have likely been drawn to on her own but it did seem to flow together nicely.

Charlie was here, obviously, and she had quite the eclectic collection of folk, celtic, and a bit of punk country to entertain with tonight.
