Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Even after all this time, Rey was not the best with winter. The fact that she hadn't exactly been able to localize the source of the draft in the warehouse didn't help.

It may not have been the most normal thing response, but she was doing the course today with the weather controls on and the heat on blast. It had actually been a long time since she'd had to do this in hot weather. In a way it was perfectly necessary.

"Absolutely. Is earlier in the week okay?"

Look at her with her weekly two nights of social life, pending availabilities.

"That's fine," Anakin said with a smile. "The kids start school up again next week and by the end of it they'll be tired and cranky."

"I definitely prefer getting a happier answer when I ask how they are," she smiled.

Anakin laughed. "So do I. By Friday's it's nothing but grunting."

[thatwaslucky]

"Tell me you can get some answer out of them," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Of course I can," Anakin said. "I'm a Jedi."

[thatwaslucky]

"Which means...?"

Because the way Rey would get something out of sometime as mind tricks or lightsabers.

"I'm diplomatic."

Sure you are, Anakin.

[thatwaslucky]

"I've known you too long for that," she told him.

[sith_happened]

Anakin chuckled. "My children are Force-users, too. A little prod gets them to open up about things that are truly bothering them."

[thatwaslucky]

"And they know you're prodding them?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"They do," Anakin said. "They prod me back."

[thatwaslucky]

"I don't think I've ever used it that way with another Force user," she said, thinking back.

Mind tricks and violently shoving people out of your head, sure.

"It's...friendly," Anakin said. "Like a silent 'hey, you.'"

Rey reached out in the Force, a silent, Hey you.

Anakin poked her back with a grin. Hello.

[thatwaslucky]

"All right, I'm going to find more reasons to do that," she decided.

Anakin smiled and pushed a small bit of the pleasure he was feeling at the idea at her. "Jedi express all sorts of things this way," he said. "I just...forgot to mention it. I was training you for combat, and without a partner, this is dangerous. With a partner, it's how Jedi move in such sync."

"This isn't on you," she told him. "I haven't really had a reason to need it. It was just me."

[sith_happened]

"Well, now it's not," Anakin said, smiling, "and you can teach this to Finn."

[thatwaslucky]

"And he'd be the easiest person to do that with," she agreed.

[sith_happened]

"It really does come in handy," Anakin said. "Obi-Wan and I could have entire conversations silently."

[thatwaslucky]

"It would be a slight change from using our faces to do that," she said with a smile.

[sith_happened]

Anakin laughed. "Oh, you still will. Obi-Wan had a very wicked sense of humor. It took me a while to keep my expressions neutral."
