Groovy Tunes; Thursday [04/03].
It was the first Thursday of the month, and once Stewart had gotten through all the usual business of keeping the shop running, an activity that he was actually finding the he somewhat enjoyed, he turned his attention to getting things set up for the monthly Open Mic night, and a part of him was wondering why he still even bothered with it. After all, it seemed like it was just the same three people who showed up every month, and while that was still three people, and there have been occasionally others coming to check it out or even perform, it all seemed a bit like he was trying to keep alive a dead horse through the power of his electro-dance remixes and Charlie's more folksy bent alone. Why did he bother? What was even the point?
But it was still something, right? And he did feel like he would regret it, if he'd called it off and stopped, and you never knew, and at least performing for a small (miniscule, microscopic) crowd was better than not performing at all...
So he was setting up the lights and testing the sound equipment and getting a nice loop of Armour Plastique playing in the background, something that still had a bop but was a little softer to reflect his more...erm, reflective mood, he guessed.
Groovy Tunes is open!

Regular Business Hours - 04/03.
Arrive & Mingle - 04/03.
Re: Arrive & Mingle - 04/03.
That's right! Have no fear, Graham and Triumph were here!
Did that mean Graham and Triumph were also planning on performing finally, too? Maaaaaybe! Guess you'll just have to stick around and see!
Re: Arrive & Mingle - 04/03.
"And Sir Knight!" Graham would always get a hug at the very least though. "Will you be onstage this evening?"
Re: Arrive & Mingle - 04/03.
And a tip of his with a "My lady" as they unembraced, then flashed her a grin. "And I don't know! Maybe! I guess you'll have to stick around and find out, huh?"

And he winked.
But he wasn't telling her, either way!
"How about you? Do you think you might grace us with a fantastic performance on the stage tonight?"
Re: Arrive & Mingle - 04/03.
Method RP? What?

"No one thing," Belle said, shaking her head. "Just the gremlins being very much themselves all day. Sometimes very loudly."
Re: Arrive & Mingle - 04/03.
Well, there would be one tiny, possibly feathered, maybe furry problem with that, but of course Graham didn't know that yet.

There were totally sea monsters somewhere around the island, right?
Re: Arrive & Mingle - 04/03.
She was not planning on performing though.
Maybe next month she'd do a dramatic reading?
The Stage - 04/03.

"Hi, everyone!" he said into the mic, which gave him a little squeal of feedback, and he chuckled a little and backed off it of it. "Whoops! Sorry! Anyway, hi! As most of you know, I'm Sir Graham of Daventry, and I'm here tonight with my mighty trusty steeds Triumph to perform this month! I know you're used to hearing my mellifluous voice every Friday morning on the radio, but get ready to hear it right here and now at Groovy Tunes! Hit it, Triumph!"
On his cue, Triumph let out a pleased whistle of a chirrup to get them started, after which a beat and melody of squeaks and snorts set thr pace for Graham's song. He started in a low, heroic sort of pitch that he clearly needed to work for, though as the performance went on, it would raise more to his natural level as he got more into it.
And get into it he did! The song was based around some daring epic tales of knights he admired, so naturally, as he sang, he had to act out those grand deeds! They were built around a chorus that started out as "That's the knight I hope to be!" that grew into "That's the knight I'm going to be!" and finally, in recounting some of his own adventures now, ending it with a rousing "And that's the knight I am!"
Triumph finished it off with a trumpeter fanfare, and then they both took their exuberant bows.
