Caritas; Wednesday [04/23].

For better or for worse, Summer had definitely been working through some of her recent feelings through her jello shots this week. It was honestly the perfect kind of personal therapy. She got to do something to distract her, she got to do some research for ideas and challenge herself to make them happen, and then she got to post pictures of the results on her socials and get almost instant validation and praise. All that internet clout and fake likes improved her mood substantially, and she came into the bar wit ha singsong warning to Tino that if he did anything to rock the delicate balance of her current good mood, he would regret it.

That seemed to work well enough, and now Summer was trying to think of the best way to display some of her shots here in the bar because they looked amazing and needed to be admired, thank you.

Rey had been home for a few days but made it a point to be back by Wednesday evening. Just in case.

And she was walking in and starting with a very safe, "The jello is especially cute this week." Just in case.

"Thank yooo~oou!" Summer beamed, always happy to receive flattery for something that she'd intentionally set out to receive flattery for. She took a moment to bask in the genius of her creation before adding, "I was feeling a little extra ambitious and creative this morning and figured I'd put it to good use. Which ones are looking particular cute and delicious?"

"Definitely the strawberry," she said. "I know the jalapeno will not go well for me."

"The strawberry is definitely my favorite, too," Summer revealed, surely shocking everyone as she grab one for Rey and set it in front of her, "and, yeah, the jalapeño is mostly just there for the people who get weirded out when there isn't a weird one, but definitely for the more....palate adventurous, I guess. So...how's your week been?"

Another test of just how off things were. Yay?

Stark had debated with himself a bit about coming in tonight. He always went to the bar on Wednesdays but now things were different but not completely different and he was trying so hard to not be weird about it all...

He wasn't as early arriving as he usually was and he was walking slower. He stopped and sat down on his usual stool and looked at a spot on the bartop for a long moment before looking up.

"Hello, Summer."

And Summer managed to not meet that with just a sigh, but it was pretty close. She managed to wrangle it in, though, as she looked him for a moment.

"Hi, Stark," she said, with a particular emphasis, because don't think she hadn't noticed that particular (and unnecessary) regression of speech patterns, nor was she surprised by them. "You think you'll still go in for the full jello flight and cocktail?"

Or did he think, for some reason, that had to change, too?

It was a process here, Summer! There would be missteps and steps backward and steps sideways...

"No... wait, yes, I mean. Sure. I'll try all of them."

And no small amount of stumbling and tripping over those steps, either, no doubt.

This current bit of fumbling lifted Summer's brow a bit, as she cautiously started setting out some shots for him. "You don't have to if you don't to, you know," she said, which sounded a little facetious but it also felt like he might genuinely need the reminder.

Apparently big whiny babies who don't like being thrown off buildings needed drinks to soothe them from the trauma or something? Anakin had been jumping off buildings for years and didn't understand. But before he got Stark a drink, it was only polite to say hello to the bartender. Not you, Tino.

Awww. Summer was always glad to be Not Tino.

"Hey, Anakin," she greeted him back with a pleased smile, and maybe with a touch of excitement, because it felt like if he was coming in, it was always for a stupid/amusing reason. "How's it going?"
