The park- Friday afternoon

Jaina had had a rough couple weeks, so it was sort of a good thing, personally, for a bunch of godzillas to invade a place where she could take those frustrations out on them. Sorry, godzillas! You picked the wrong day to pick a fight!

There were a few in the park, so she was staying local to there, dealing with one in particular that seemed annoyed enough that she was fighting back to keep it up. She might be kind of humoring it at this point. It was like catharsis. There were plenty more if anyone else wanted to take a crack at it!

Indeed, someone did.

A series of cards, glowing too brightly to make out their suits, flew through the air to strike one of the godzillas square in the chest, where they exploded. The lizard roared and fell, only to get back up and charge in the direction the cards had come from.

Which would be when Gambit came hurtling over it, using his bo like a pole vault.

He looked like he was having a glorious time.

"Just like being back in the Savage Land," he mused, flashing Jaina a bright grin.

"I have no idea what that is," Jaina said, before getting swiped at with a tail. She could jump over it, it was fine.

"HAVE AT THEE!" Thor cried as he spun Mjolnir around above his head before sending it sailing off to smack a Godzilla in the head before it rebounded back to him.

Thor, what did the Godzilla ever do to you?...don't answer that, there was probably a comic crossover event at some point.

"I like your hammer," Jaina noted, watching her Godzilla to see what it was going to do next.

"Thor," Gambit greeted, twirling his bo and then using it to salute. "Nice day, eh?"

"Well, this is definitely a Friday," Tony said, landing in the park. But hey! He got to test out two varieties of his armor this week!

"Does this happen on Fridays now?" Jaina asked, stabbing a tail.

The Godzilla did not appreciate that.

"Iron Man," Gambit greeted. "Been a minute."

He was very glad this was not the Tony Stark he'd stolen an Iron Man suit from.

"Stark," Thor greeted him.

Steve's shield arrived before he did because Steve liked to make an entrance. It ricocheted off of a lizard's skull, knocking it cold, and returned to Steve's hand because physics worked like that with the shield.

"Good afternoon, everyone," he said with a grin under his Captain America helmet.

"I knew you'd come and steal our thunder," Tony said with a laugh, landing next to him.

"Steve!" Thor greeted him as he summoned lightning to Mjolnir and then shocked the hell out of one of their reptilian foes. "Glad to have you join us, my friend!"

Just like old times! Except not really, because they were all from different universes.

"Everyone showing off," Jaina said.

It was impressive showing off, though.

"Captain," Gambit greeted, once again leaping over one of the charging lizards.

He'd maybe started playing with them, a little bit.

Anakin had been heading out to see Rey but, well, giant lizards in the park! The family that fought giant lizards together were...definitely Skywalkers, let's be honest.

"Welcome back to Fandom," he said with a smile, igniting his lightsaber.

"I kinda needed this," Jaina admitted. "Hi."

"Task master," Gambit greeted. (Had he and Anakin ever met properly? Unknown. He had definitely been ordered to do very silly things by the man, though.) "Come to join the fun?"

"Have you met these creatures before, Dean Skywalker?" Thor inquired. "You shall have to tell us the tale later!" Over ale, as was proper.

Henry had not left the dorms much since he'd been led there by a very large, very strange man days ago. He was still, it had to be said, not entirely sure he wasn't dead. Or dreaming.

These first few steps outside into the town proper were not helping.

"Uh," he said, staring at the large man-sized lizard currently blocking his path further into the park. "... a demon?"

It roared.

Jaina made a leap over in case he needed assistance, answering, "Giant lizard."

Semi.

"Not entirely," Steve said, jumping onto one (because of course he did) and trying to punch it in the head (...because of course he did). "Hi, Henry!"

Gambit shook his head, flicking a card in the direction of the giant lizard near the kid. (He didn't want to steal the fun if the guy wanted a fight, but he also wasn't going to let it actually try to eat anyone.)

"Non. They don't have that demon smell."

"Perhaps!" Thor said, sounding like he wasn't too worried about it, as he fried one of the lizards with lightning. "Greetings, young Henry!"

You know what Rey didn't get to do a ton of these days? Fighting with a lightsaber. Relative peacetime will do that.

But hey, she wasn't just randomly stabbing at things out of desperation anymore! Improvement!

Hey, it was the kid! Jaina looked over in case she was needed, decided not, and kept at her own Godzilla.

Could Liliana made her way to her office more efficiently than crossing through the park? Of course! But would it be as much fun?

Not even a little bit.

So she was strolling into the park like it was any other day, an entourage of zombified godzillas behind her. They roared and attacked any of the living godzillas that came close. While she seemed content to let her pets do most of the fighting, every so often a blast of crackling necromantic energy would go winging towards a godzilla in her way that didn't seem inclined to move fast enough. A moment later, it would stand up and join her.

Waste not want not.
