"Here, Tino!" Summer sang out brightly as she swept into the bar that evening for her shift. "Hold these limes!"

Before he knew it, Tino was struggling to keep within his arms all the loose limes that Summer had shoved into them, and he was about to ask how he was supposed to hold all of them before she cheerfully added, "But whatever you do, don't put them in the coconuts!"

Tino, confused, waited for further information, but come on, what did Summer look like? Someone who would actually explain things to him? She went about getting her shots set up and getting the bar ready, leaving him standing there with his limes.

Eventually, he'd end up setting them down on the counter, where some of them would roll away to random places here and there, to, you know, do his job, but he stood there just holding the limes for an unprecidented amount of time, really.

Okay, okay. The zombies actually were allowed to put the limes in the coconut, but, you know, musically speaking.

Maybe you'll find a lime on your seat as well as your drink!

A little hesitation this week, but only because they hadn't actually seen each other since last Wednesday here and that was still odd.

"Hi, Summer. You made tiny pies?"

He loved tiny pies!

"Hi, Stark," Summer said, grinning back because you know what? She'd take a little hesitation if it meant smoothing out the previous stumbles over something as simple as a greeting. "I did make tiny pies."

She did know that he loved tiny pies, too, and was definitely going to lead with that one before setting the others beside it and going to go make his drink.

"How was your day?"

Look, progress was slow and unsteady but it was happening. It was still a big change even if it wasn't actually that big of a change?

"Quiet," Stark told her. "Radio was very short and I avoided Anakin and all of his nonsense. You?"

"After I finished getting the jello set," Summer answered, "I swung by shenanigans to tempt fate and got saddled with babysitting duties while Gladio beat the living harmonica put of Prompto with a pool noodle."

She gave a happy, wistful sort of dreamy sigh, then shook her head.

"Needless to say," she said, "I am definitely gifting thr Argentums with a shiny new kiddie pool noodle set from the store. I could tell there was an interest from Noctra that I feel it's my duty....nay, honor...to really help cultivate, you know?"

"I'm going to need that explained, I think," Stark said slowly as he picked up his tiny pie.

"What do harmonicas and pool noodles have to do with... anything? And how is Noctra?"

"It's Shenanigans," Summer pointed out, with a dismissively wave of her hand as she set down Stark's monitor. "It's probably best left unexplained, but it involved blindfolds and tag and rubber chickens, too. And she's good! She's getting so big! She is also very loud."

Summer rubbed at her poor, strained eardrums from all the screaming and screeching and squealing that had gone into it today.

"Were they playing the harmonicas?"

Stark was just trying to picture this all and he was failing.

"Did they tag people with the chickens?"

He then frowned a little. "Your ears are all right?"

The combination of screaming toddler, yelping Prompto, harmonicas, and squeaky chickens can't have been pleasant.

"I should... maybe i could offer, to Prompto, to, to watch her sometime. If he wanted."

"Half the participants had to keep the harmonicas in their mouths," Summer clarified a little more, slowly revealing a picture of the scene for Stark like the dispersion of fog of war in a video game, "and everyone had to tie the rubber chickens to their feet. Two people were It, Kitty and Gladio, and they were blindfolded and had to Tag people with pool noodles."

Did the explanation help clear things up at all, Stark?

"My ears are fine,though," she added, with a soft smile of appreciation that he'd be worried, anyway, "and if there's one thing that Prompto doesn't lack, it's potential babysitters, but I'm sure he would appreciate it if you wanted to help sometime, too."

He was always concerned. Always.

"It might be fun, for me, and for her." Except what if meant risking Anakin's nonsense? Oh no.

"Today sounds very nonsensical. Which... makes sense really since it's Anakin and he's himself."

He picked up another shot and coughed a little when he didn't realize it was the one with hot sauce.

"S'good. Just didn't expect it. My fault."

"Surprrrriiiize," Summer sang, on a note of apology to it. "You know I'm surprised, I expect more caution from you with these things. I guess my elaborate pie distraction worked.

"And, yeah, no, it was pretty unhinged today. Maybe it was better you skipped it entirely, actually. Ignis looked about ready to murder someone from all thr noise."

And we all knew who was probably on the top of his list of murderable people (currently on the island anyway).

"I was distracted by pie and trying to picture the morning," Stark admitted, going for a sip of his cocktail now. "I ought to know better. And...yes. I'd rather not get murdered. Though Anakin might object to that at his, ah, festivities."

Might.

And for someone who didn't want to get murdered, Stark sure was walking in to Ignis's home once a week.

"Limes?" Jack said, picking one up and holding it. "Really?"

"We had a lot of them extra at the store this week," Summer explained easily with a shrug, then lifted an eyebrow at Jack. "Why? You've got a problem with limes? Really?"

"With limes in particular? No," Jack said. "Random citrus overflowing out of one of the shops? I'm going to wonder what weird is going on this week."

Summer shrugged again. "Just regular weird, as far as I know," she reported with confidence. "Maybe you've just been away too long to truly appreciate just random, innocuous bouts of harmless and inconsequential Fandom weirdness stuff. Either way, feel free to take some home with you if you want! The less Tino ends up taking, the better humanity will be for it, I think."

Limes are also on the tables, except for one rebellious outlier that seemed to go with lemons.

A lime-free zone.
