Did Padme know that she needed to go to work at a bar? No. No, she did not. But she did need a drink as she figured out how best to address her current situation and that somehow ended up being said bar.

And then the bartender there had taken one look at her and her over the top outfit and disappeared for five minutes before returning in a matching outfit.

How long had Tino had that just waiting? Why had Tino had that waiting? These were questions to ponder and never learn the true answers to because, well, Tino.

Ahsoka tended to spend her Saturday evenings (most of her evenings, really) meditating, but the Force had given her a nudge towards attempting to be social tonight for some reason.

She stopped short when she got up to the bar...well. That would be why.

"Would you also like a very large, very strong drink?" Anakin asked.

"One of those weekends again?"

That definitely wasn't a no on the drink.

"One of those weekends," Anakin agreed, signaling Tino-dressed-as-a-Haidmaiden-why for two very big glasses of whiskey.

Ahsoka didn't so much sip her whiskey as chug it. "Any idea where she is timeline wise compared to us?"

How was this their lives?

"She didn't mention my hair, so I'm guessing Clone Wars," Anakin admitted.

"So she probably thinks you're... together?" That wasn't going to be awkward at all.

Anakin, accidental temporary bigamist, nodded.

Ahsoka gestured to Tino to keep the drinks coming.

"Ahsoka!" Padme gasped, eyes going wide at how grown up she looked.

Did that help with the timeline at all? Probably not.

Given that the last time Ahsoka had seen Padme had been at her funeral? And how very young she'd been the last time Padme had seen her? Not at all.

Not that she was letting any of that show in her expression as she leaned across the bar to try and hug her. "It's good to see you." Regardless of how temporary and complicated it was.

Padme hugged her without any reservation. Well. Other than being short and having to lean over a bar. But that was just her life.

"Look at you," she said, pulling back to smile at how different and yet not different Ahsoka was now.

"It's been too long," Ahsoka said, vague-ing like only someone who'd spend too long around Obi-Wan could.

Was it good or bad to have another person who could laugh and say, "You sound like Obi-wan."

Both.

"I learned from the best," Ahsoka said, very deliberately waiting a beat before adding. "And Anakin."

Padme did laugh at that as well, taking a moment to note all the differences in her. "I suppose I'm not supposed to know why you're like this or why I'm here."

"It's one of those situations where the explanation would only make things more confusing," Ahsoka replied. "I can tell you that mostly I got old."

"Is it bad to say I'm happy you did?" Padme asked. Considering, well, she was still in the middle of the Clone Wars.

"A lot of good people didn't." Ahsoka did not need to elaborate on how many and who exactly. Boy did she not. "It's not wrong to celebrate those who did."
