Caritas, OPEN (Monday Night)
A bit bemused and confused by the activities of the previous weekend, Jarod was happy to return to Caritas and open the bar, which had been mysteriously undamaged by the snow monsters. Even the zombies were still in one piece (well, the drummer was in two pieces, but that was the same as it had been on Thursday, so he counted it as the status quo.
He couldn't decide whether he wanted Parker to show up or not.

The Band
Re: The Band
She steps up to the microphone. "Um, hi. This song was written by a guy I knew in Buenos Aires. Seems appropriate, after this weekend." Her voice shakes a little, but she just screws her eyes shut and sings a capella:
If winter doesn't kill me
I'll be happier in spring
Let me dance wild and freely
Let me be content to sing
Because right now the snow is falling
And the air is growing cold
Society is stalling
As this earth is growing old
And I'm sorry if I'm crazy
But give me the change to speak
With every bomb that falls on Bagdad
My life loses a week
Because we all are one big being
one massive community
And everything that comes to you
Will one day come to me
So let us sing
I spent a lot of time last summer
Trying to put things into place
And I got lied to so many damn times
But I kept a straight face
Because I cannot stand to argue
When the arguments are wars
One side versus another
Instead of people sharing words
And I've felt so tired lately
Just thinking about these days
But between the wars and scandals
There's a new and needed place
We've got so much to understand
About this spinning ball of life
So look up at the stars
And enjoy this freezing night
And let us sing
And if you feel surrounded
Well that's because you are
On every corner there's a prison
Every school, a police car
I've seen a lot of bad things happen
Since I've learned how to relate
And every year my life grows harder
Full of all the wars I hate
And I've been sickened by the madness
To a point where I can't grow
Inside a world of twisted fiction
And a language I don't know
So let this song be my reminder
That I'll never lose my sights
I'll stand and face the beast in daylight
And attack it by the night
So let us sing
If winter doesn't kill me
Then I'm sure that someone will
It seems like everyone is quick to find
Someone they'd like to kill
Yeah, I've had it with this system
Of profit and demand
And while a layed-off worker dies
A sweatshop opens in Saipan
Just let this song be a warning
To those who are content
A new world's gonna come
And crush this government
So stand up in the darkness
Let us not be bought and sold
And follow in the footsteps
Of the things that make us whole
And let us sing

Lorne looks troubled, but whether it's because he can get a firm reading or because of something else isn't clear.
