Caritas - Open [6/27]

Veronica was still running on nerves and caffeine when she got to work. She was grateful to see Tino was back from wherever he'd been, though he snorted at her when she asked if he'd had a nice vacation.

Aaron hadn't appeared to her again since Anakin chased him off. She was hoping that was a good sign, even though Piper hadn't been able to help her.

Seras blinked at the 'food that makes you sing Billy Joel songs' but chalked it up to 'Fandom'.

"Oh, that's sad," she said, "Because you really look the part. Oh! My name's Seras," she added holding out her right hand.

He took her hand and shook it. "My name is Hamlet. And I'm afraid that it would take quite a bit of convincing before I declare via song that any day was good for a white wedding."

Seras shook back.

"Pleased to meet you Hamlet. And, not even for all my tainted love? And a free drink?"

He smiled a bit at her. "Make it two drinks, and perhaps you'll hear my rebel yell."

Seras pursed her lips and thought a moment.

"One drink, but we make it a duet? That way you won't be dancing with yourself?"

He finally shrugs and gives in.

"Sounds fair enough to me. I'm not certain that one should be 'dancing with oneself' in a public place anyway."

Seras grinned.

"Brilliant. Now, what shall we sing?"

"Why don't you choose? After all, you are the one buying."

Seras grinned and grabbed Hamlet's arm.
