Caritas - Open [6/27]

Veronica was still running on nerves and caffeine when she got to work. She was grateful to see Tino was back from wherever he'd been, though he snorted at her when she asked if he'd had a nice vacation.

Aaron hadn't appeared to her again since Anakin chased him off. She was hoping that was a good sign, even though Piper hadn't been able to help her.

"I think I can make Buffy's day while keeping my pants on, actually," Sam replied. "I'm just that good."

"As long as they don't get stuck again."

"As much as it pains me, I've been good and stayed out of the bookstore, so there shouldn't be any more pants mishaps in the near future."

"Glad to hear it. Becuase 'Sorry, I can't, I gotta help my brother get his pants off,' isn't an excuse I want to have to use very often."

Sam smirked. "If it makes you feel any better, it's not an excuse I want you to have a reason to use very often either."

"Especially around Alec."

"Definitely not ever around Alec again."

"Though I think we got him back very poetically," Dean pointed out, chuckling at the memory.

"It was the perfect Winchester revenge," Sam added proudly.

"It was." Dean grinned and raised his beer bottle in a toast. "When we work together, nobody can stop us."

Sam laughed and tapped his bottle against Dean's. "Nobody except ourselves."

"And that's just how it should be." Still grinning, Dean drained his beer.
