Caritas [Sunday Evening]

Greg opened up Caritas, mulling over the conversation from earlier in the day with his school-appointed and very grumpy little brother.

He whistled as he started to reassemble the band, and then took his place behind the bar and waving cheerfully to Jarod on the other side of the bar.

Jesse glanced back up again. "Huh. Zombies. I met an alien earlier and some kid with cat ears. I thought I knew crazy shit, but...." he shook his head and downed his shot.

El raised an eyebrow. "I've seen some scary things in my life, but I can't even imagine what would be worse than that."

"Believe me. There's worse." And he wasn't even thinking of the Saint of Killers; that haunted look that flickered behind his eyes came from much closer to home.

"Well, if my experience so far is any indication, whatever those zombies or aliens are can't be any worse than what people do to each other."
