Empire Records; Monday [ 10/02 ]

Chad was busy reorganizing the CDs back to their alphabetical order, trying to figure out exactly how they kept getting switched around. He didn't mind, though, humming along to the Zeppelin he was playing. He was in a good mood, and it gave him something to do that seemed somewhat productive.

"I only got hit once." He said proudly. "It was weird though. She must have hit something weird. I felt tingly for a minute." His vocabulary isn't that great in ANY language...

Chad is trying to keep his mind off too many possibilities, really he is. "Sensitive spot, maybe? You're not ticklish, are you?"

Ugh. Stop saying things like that, Yasutora...because then you start thinking about things like that.

Ranma looks at him blankly for a moment. No. He didn't DARE give away the slightest HINT that he was. Chad is the type who'd exploit it... Espcially with him conviently sitting on the counter like this. "It wasn't like that."

Thank God for his lack of expressions, hiding Chad's smirk so well. Whenever someone didn't directly answer a question like 'are you ticklish?,' it meant that they were. He'd save that for later. Maybe. Hopefully. Probably never get a chance, too, actually...Pity.

"But you only got hit once? That's pretty impressive."

"Fighting's what I'm good at. If I couldn't boast about that then I'd really be a useless waste of space." He looks fairly serious. Though Chad might take it as degrading humor or just plain... Ranma being down on himself. Either way.

He tosses his ponytail nonchalantly over his shoulder. "It was fun though."

"If you'd be just a useless waste of space, then who would sit on the counter and keep me company?"

"I'm sure there's better company out there than me." He smirks a bit. This time he seems a lot more kidding. But you never know.

"Maybe. But they're not here right now." Chad went to lean on the counter, but stopped himself just before his elbows hit its surface. He remembered how it sometimes groaned when he did that; he'd hate to see what would happen with his weight and Ranma's on it. So he straightened, and, true to his awkward nature, just kind of stood there for a bit. Maybe he should find something to do to make it look like he was still working.

"Though.. I think I found something else I'm good at." He notes off handly, he's trying to be entertaining. That's sorta part of the "keeping company" thing...

"Yeah? What's that?"

"I'm actually pretty good at learning other languages. I'm not good at my own still.. but I'm good at Creature Languages. And mun is so plotting Ranma to learn Spanish for you ChadyThough that's the only clas I'm doing well in." He shrugs.

"I've got three under my belt," Chad said. "I think I'm good. What else are you taking? Maybe I can help you with some of it."

"Just Science and Magic. The car thing the other day was hard to do... I couldn't think of a good design." He's trying to go quick and avoid the whole Chad just offered to help me with my homework omggggg

"I had fun with that." Chad had totally made a kick ass design that involved a plastic bottle, aluminum foil, and thead spools. "You should let me know if you have trouble with any of that stuff. I'm not touching magic, though, sorry."

"We just take notes. I usually can't read my own notes though." Sadly.

"That's....kind of problematic." Like he was anyone to talk.

He nods. "Oh well. It's not like I had to go to school anyway. I already have a life all ploted for me... or whatever."

"You did?" Chad wasn't sure if he really understood that.

"Yeah. I'm inhereting a dojo. And some guys daughter. It's stupid. That's why I left. I don't want to get engaged to some girl I don't know."

"You were engaged?"

"To three girls. And that's just the ones I know about. My dad's not really... the best sort."

"Three?" Chad said, and then found himself laughing a little, brief, staccatto chuckles. "Dios, Ranma, alcahuete pequeño..."

"... What..?" This is when he decided he should learn Spanish.

Chad allowed himself to smirk, although, really, maybe he couldn't even help it. He leaned against the other side of the counter, crossing his arms over his chest, and he casually translated for him, "You little pimp."

Cue Ranma blushing like mad and flailing slightly. "I didn't do anything though! It's all my dad's fault! He made us both cursed too! And all that other stuff.." He stops. Oh. Chad didn't know about the other stuff yet. The cats, the hair thing... hoo... he hopes Chad doesn't get too curious and ask.
