Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]

GOB had finally gotten the book and read most of the first chapter before remembering that he hated reading. He would have gotten online to wank about anything he could think of, but he didn't have a computer.

So he came into work instead.

Some days it was tough to be GOB.

"Neither do I," Deadpool replied, hand out to flag down Tino. "Unless there's some strange stuff that doesn't involve a job and not in the prostitution kind of way he wants because I am not that kind of guy, thank you very much."

Mary just nodded, unsure of what he just said. "Being mistaken for a prostitute is not fun," she agreed.

"No it is not," Deadpool replied, clearly the voice of experience. "Made that mistake trying to advertise in the yellow pages."

"You were trying to advertise in the yellow pages and got mistaken for a prostitute?" asked Mary, confused. It had happened to her too, but only when she walked through the lobby of the casino in a certain dress.

He nodded, sipping at the giant drink. "Apparently saying that you are willing to sell your services to the highest bidder, no questions asks gets you a lot of strange phone calls that involve bondage and some really creepy fetishes."

"Yeah, that could be a problem," agreed Mary, pausing to sip her drink. She was about to ask what kind of creepy fetishes, but stopped.

Which was a wise move on her part. There was farming vehicles and a badger involved in one request that Deadpool was quite happy to have repressed.

"Indeed." (Awkward...) "So! How's the hotel business?"

"It's good," said Mary. "We managed to survive the dinosaurs with minimal damage."

"Oh yeah, I think there are still a few footprints in the backyard from those things. Where did they think they were? Antarctica?"

"At least they're gone now," said Mary. She wasn't sure why there would be dinosaurs in Antarctica, but she didn't ask.

It was sad the only a few people knew about the Savage Land. Really it was.

"Very true. Maybe the next invasion will involve easily defeated bunnies from space."

Mary wrinkled her nose. "I can just see that happening," she said. "Gunther, my chef, will probably end up making rabbit stew."

"Even if they're those adorable weetiny bunnies?"

"Especially if they're adorable weetiny bunnies," said Mary. "Gunther is a bit of a maniac."

"That monster!" Deadpool gasped. "They're just little bunnies! And they love reality TV just as much as I do!"

Mary just nodded and sipped her drink. How else could she respond?

"They do!" Deadpool insisted. "Weren't you around for when they were all over town?"

"That must have been before my time," said Mary. "I got here right around the same time that homicidal maniac was running around in the woods."

"Oh yeah, I remember hearing about that on the radio," Deadpool replied slowly. "Oh those wacky kids and their need to play with sociopaths. Crazy really."
