Summer didn't normally work at bars. Actually, she had never worked before ever. But then Chris had to forget he had a job when he asked Lana out on a real date. She really was the best roommate ever for agreeing to take his place tonight. He totally owed her.

The Devil's Nest was open.

"I know, she's a good roommate," he said. "You like Norah Jones?" He had totally picked something at random.

She smiled into the side of his neck. "I only played it like a million times while you were watching out for me. I thought that's why you played it."

Chris was glad she wasn't looking at him because he was blushing again. "I thought the case looked familiar..."

"Well, it was a really good choice," she murmured.

"Glad you approve," Chris said, grinning widely and pulling her a little closer.

"I do," she said, loving that he was so willing to dance with her.

Chris buried his face in her hair as they swayed to the music.

Lana couldn't quite contain the contented sigh. "Thank you," she whispered.

Rather than respond, Chris tilted her chin up and kissed her softly.

Lana slid her hands up into his hair and kissed him back.

Chris smiled at her. "Sorry," he said. "I know we agreed to take it slow... but... I couldn't help it."

"Do you see me complaining?" she asked softly.

"No, I guess not," he replied, grinning like a huge dork.

She smiled up at him. "You make it really hard for me to want to take things slow."

Hey, look at that. Chris was blushing furiously again.

Lana was blushing a bit herself.

The song segued into another slow song. "Wanna keep dancing?" Chris asked.

"Really?" she asked. "I mean, I'd love to, but I didn't think you'd want to."

"You think I mind having a beautiful girl in my arms?" Chris asked, pulling her close again.

She sighed happily. "I could really get used to this," she said softly.

"Me too," he replied, just as quietly.

"Don't know how I got so lucky," she murmured.

"Me either."
