The Park, 10am Saturday-early afternoon

Yesterday's weather had worried Willow, but according to the weather report Saturday was warmer and so far snow-free.

Willow got to the Park early so she could set up. She cleared a space for dancing, set up music and some food that she'd brought along, then waited for others to show up.

[ooc: OCD a-coming Up! All are welcome. 'tis very informal in nature. And this only takes up a small part of the Park, so plenty of room for others to do Parky things without being crowded.]

Willow did her best to follow along as he demonstrated. "How come we don't say the guy's part is like the ladies' part, but backwards?"

His synapses fired off a little in all directions, trying to find an answer.

"Because I learned the mens' part first?" Glitch offered.

"Oh." Willow said. "Well, that's fair."

Glitch smiled, and then put his attention back towards the dancing. "Now, if you're ready, I can show you how to go forwards and backwards."

"Yes please!" Willow said.

Glitch demonstrated for her, using the same steps save for the fact that instead of going back to the starting point, they just kept moving forward. Then, after going a few feet, he used the same steps to go backward, counting off in three's the whole time. Once he got back to where Willow was, he stopped. "Now, I'll count while you try."

"Can I count too?" Willow asked. "Only sometimes that helps."

"Of course! However makes it easiest," Glitch said, and then started off the counting.

Willow counted along with him, trying to imitate the steps he'd taught.

"Very good. Now, try to move backwards. Don't look behind you, though. I'll warn you if you're about to run into anything." He scanned the ground and started counting again.

Well sure, now Willow really wanted to look behind her. But she tried not to and kept dancing.

"You're doing well," Glitch said as his synapses searched for the next step to be taught. In the meantime, more practice. "Would you like to try it again, going back and forth?"

"Sure!" Willow said. Since practice increased the odds she wouldn't trip.

Glitch was counting again, keeping it slower so that she wouldn't try and move faster than she could. Still counting, his synapses came up with an answer. Turning. "Let me know when you're ready for the turning part," and then right back to counting.

"Go ahead," Willow said. "I accept the turning challenge."

Glitch smiled and stepped up to her with his arms up. "You'll need a partner for this part. Hope you don't mind."

"For the purposes of lessons only," Willow said.

He nodded respectfully. "Of course."

Then he took her left hand and put his left hand under her arm and on her shoulder. "Now, this is where his hand is supposed to be. If it goes anywhere else, you have the permission of an official of the Ozain court to kick him. Politely."

"Oh yay!" Willow said. "I like places that plan ahead like that."

Glitch laughed and nodded. "Now, start with the basic steps." He began counting and gave a nod to signal as he took the first step.

Willow concentrated and did the same.

Still counting, Glitch slowly lead her into a turn, counterclockwise. Still the same steps, but with small adjustments.

Willow tried to follow along, doing her best not to trip.

Glitch didn't mind a few stepped-on toes, if it should happen. All part of the learning process.

He kept counting and turning, and would until he was sure Willow got it down.

"Okay," Willow said. "I think I've got the hang of it. Though you'd be the better judge if I was doing it right."
