The Park, 10am Saturday-early afternoon

Yesterday's weather had worried Willow, but according to the weather report Saturday was warmer and so far snow-free.

Willow got to the Park early so she could set up. She cleared a space for dancing, set up music and some food that she'd brought along, then waited for others to show up.

[ooc: OCD a-coming Up! All are welcome. 'tis very informal in nature. And this only takes up a small part of the Park, so plenty of room for others to do Parky things without being crowded.]

"Yeah?" Chad asked, and then immediately told himself to not get his hopes up. "What kinda designing?"

"Mostly clothes for me, so far, but I'm thinking if you're interested, I could maybe branch out a little and see what happens," she offered.

"You don't have to," Chad muttered, in the way of someone who really liked the idea. "I mean, I'd probably be hard to design for; m'so big, y'know?"
gobrookeyourself: (pretty girl)

"Oh, don't worry, I'm unbelievably talented," Brooke smiled. "Come on, say yes, you know you want to."

Of course he wanted to...he just had trouble believing that Brooke would.

"O- okay," he finally managed to get out, blinking a little behind the curtain of hair in his eyes. "I guess..."

"Yes!" she said, with a little bit of squee thrown in there. "See, was that so hard?"

"...I guess not," Chad muttered quietly. The hard part would come later when she realized that he'd be impossible to work with, or something.

She couldn't ignore it anymore. "What's wrong?" she asked, frowning.

"Hm?" Chad, lifting his head, frowned a little more. "What- Nothing's wrong." He finished it with a grunt that did a pretty good job of negating his words entirely.
gobrookeyourself: (i find this interesting)

"I don't believe that for a second. You're going to make me mopey by osmosis."

Osmosis didn't work like that, but it's not like Brooke knew.

Chad did.

"Osmosis doesn't work like that," he informed her moodily.
gobrookeyourself: (talky)

"Then you're going to make me mopey by whatever process is correct," she amended. "Better?"

There was a long pause.

"...Yes."

"Oh come on, I want to give you a teddy bear or something cuddly right now," she told him. "Try a smile? Please?"

Chad didn't smile much on a regular basis, so Brooke might have a better chance trying to start a fire with an ice cube. As a result, Chad gave the saddest excuse of an attempt he could manage, and all Brooke got was a grunt.
