Luring the Angels: Sunday morning

Spotters went out early in the morning, to pin down the location of the angels -- and keep them pinned down.

As the sun crept higher, the relay teams were sent out, each taking a place along their route.

Gwynn was there, her sword at her side. She had been told weapons didn't work on these things, but she felt better having it. She was also a little tense as she looked at the angel.

Faith felt naked without a stake in her hands, but what good would a wooden stake do against a stone statue? Exactly.

Her right hand was still bandaged - stupid statue - and if this angel managed to zap her into the past, she'd make a point to live long enough to track this freaky thing down and launch a nuclear weapon at it.

"We gonna switch off, walk backwards, how you wanna do this?" Faith asked.

Peter hung upside-down from a line of webbing on a tree branch, watching the angel and waiting for an order to go from the guy who used to teach a class on being a ninja. It was one of those times when he was actually prepared to take orders in an action situation. Because seriously, ninjas? They're good at what they do.

"I wonder if this is the same one I tried to fight the other day. I named him Chuckles. He seemed like he had a good sense of humor about him."

Phew - that's a lot of OCD! How this works is:

Person A pings (whoever pings in first), then person B, then an angel, A, B, angel, A, B, angel until each has had five pings each. So, fifteen ping total for each team.

The handover from one team to the next will be handwavey.

The last team on each route [Katara & Zuko, Isabel & Johnny, John S & Gavin, Luke & Vala] will ping into the next post, where the teleporters will be waiting. It will go up some time EST lateish morning.

Don't worry, there will be OCD *g*.

As for how to lure the angels: they can't move when someone watches them, but they will move fast as thought once those people look away. The teams will have to alternate between not looking at the angels for very brief periods, and putting big distance between them while NOT looking away.

The angels want to follow - silly people walking around in front of them and closing their eyes? It's easy prey that they can't resist!

All the teams have to do is use that to make the angels follow them.
