Graveyard: Early Monday Evening

It was her last patrol in Fandom. After that it was over the causeway and then... whatever came next. She'd sent out a *handwavey* e-mail and left notes for various people to let them know if they wanted to see her off, that this would be the place for it.

Sitting on a gravestone, Mel took one last look around. Could someone really feel sentimental about a graveyard?

"Did Bridge make it?" she asked, eyeing the phone. "I'm glad you have one. That means you have to keep in touch." Unlike other people who were leaving.

"Yep," Mel said. "Makes Twinkies, which is also good because there's a lack of creme filled snack cakes in the future."

She hesitated for a moment before adding: "And if I can I'll let you guys know how I'm doing. I promise."

"Will it run out of Twinkie ingredients if it's in the future too long?" she asked hopefully. "Maybe you'll have to come back and fill it up."

"If there's a way for me to get back," Mel said trying not to let leaving this place get to her, "I'll come back for a visit. I promise."

Katara nodded. "I know you will. And you'll kick your world into shape too when it needs it."

"And you'll kick Zuko into shape when he needs it," Mel said trying not to smile too much."
