Park Renovation [6/4, All Day]

Today there were bricks. Bricks and bricks and bricks. There was also a Xander standing next to them, and a dirt-trail already laid out for paving.

"No power tools or heavy machinery, what'm I gonna safety-lecture about?" he asked, scratching his head. Then he snorted. "Oh wait, this is Fandom, and I've met you people. Don't throw them, don't eat them, don't trade them to anybody for magic beans..."

There was more. It went on for a while. At one point he paused to feed a Twinkie to the small blue deer that nudged gently at his knee. That kind of while.

[OOC: is up! Grad project, but open to anybody who wants to help beautify the park.]

Anders raised an eyebrow. "Dude. What do you have in mind?"

"Yeah, nothing takes the shine off an anniversary present like raging infection," remarked Anders, who blinked and then broke out into a huge grin. "Wow. That's kind of a serious permanent sort of -- awesome! I am so totally there to be Moral Support Guy. Although Moral Support Guy might take a page out of your book."

"Yes, but," Anders said, holding a finger up. "Different page, see."

"What? No!" sputtered Anders. "I -- no! Dork. I don't know yet!"

"I -- dude!" Regardless of his knowledge about the hypothetical (he hoped) finger's destination, Anders was very well aware that the heel of his hand was headed straight for his forehead, as one went flying toward the other and hit with an audible smack.
"This is not about me!"

And that was about the point Anders started to break down laughing, because what else could he do? His quip-fu was so not on par with Xander's quip-fu and he knew better than to try and compete in a big-league game when he had just adjusted to single-A ball and this metaphor was just going to end right now before it got dirty.

"Dork," he said again, once he could breathe. "I'll totally go with, just let me know when."

Anders spread his hands. "Calendar's totally free those days. Works for me."
