Caritas - Monday evening [Open]

Jolee was starting to think that he had made a huge mistake letting the mummies onto the stage last week.

On the other hand, seeing the zombies shoot rubber bands at the mummies when they weren't looking was terribly entertaining, even if he didn't know where the undead got their rubber bands from. The internet, probably.

[OOC: I'm not feeling all that great tonight. I'm around, but may be slow.]

Worf glared at the Zombies and Mummies as he came in just to make sure they didn't shoot any rubber bands his way.

"Give me a drink befitting a warrior," Worf demanded.

And then as an afterthought:
"Please."

Worf frowned. He'd had Whiskey before so, "Appletini."

Cal would have given Worf a more customary greeting when he spotted him, especially since he figured that going to the bar was a good fitting-in sort of thing for him to do, but then Cal noticed the appletini.

"Jesus fuck, Worf; what are you drinking?"

Worf glared at the drink as if it had personally insulted him.

"It's called and appletini. And I do not like it," he growled. "Infants are fed stronger drinks than this."

Probably not but it sounded good.

It would have been impossible to not grin at that. Cal wasn't sure what he'd think about it if it turned out that Worf was actually fond of...whatever the hell that was. And, better yet...

"You guys give infants booze where you're from?"

What were they? Irish?

Cal's entire day had just felt off, and, out of things that people did when days were off, he decided it was probably time to check out that bar in town. Barely ducking the path of a rogue rubber band just a few steps through the door, he found his way to a seat, took it, and then realized that he had no idea what he'd want to drink anyway.

"Thanks," Cal nodded before tentatively asking, "Uh, how pissed would you be if I said I just wanted water?"

"Hey, Jolee," Amber said as she sat down at the bar, looking a little tired.

"Kind of tired but a bit restless at the same time. Ma gave me a headache earlier when I talked to her, tryin' to explain where I was now. So I came here to just get away... from my phone." Which probably made no sense whatsoever but... whatever. "I'll take a Shirley Temple with an extra cherry, please."

Of course Cal, sipping at his water, had noticed Amber come in. He thought, for a moment, about saying hi or waving or something, but then he thought that maybe he shouldn't, all things considered. He quelled the thought with a sip, eyes shifting away, wondering if she noticed him at all, and thought the same thing, or if she just thought to ignore him, which was optimal, but not necessarily preferred.

Amber noticed him; saw him when she came in. Polite thing would be for her to say hello, ask how he's been. Problem was, she was still iffy about how things went at the store that afternoon.

Wouldn't hurt to try she supposed; worst he could do was completely ignore her, in which case she would just go back to sipping her Shirley Temple and wonder about making a bigger ass of herself on stage with a song.

Looking over at him, she said low, "Hey, Cal... how are you?"

Well, her talking to him was good. Although, in this case, good inherently meant bad. Still, Cal shifted his attention back toward Amber with a light smile on his face. "Hey. Good. You?"

Jaina had spent most of her week/weekend busy, so she wasn't very content to sit still today. And since she was pretty sure today was Monday, she thought she might as well stop by Caritas. At the very least, the zombies were usually good for entertainment.

"Do not order an appletini," Worf grumbled. "It is vastly disappointing."

"I usually stick with Coke, but thanks for the tip," Jaina said. "An appletini?"
