Caritas, Saturday evening

Jaye had heard the announcement, of course, but had rolled her eyes and just turned up her TV rather than actually taking it seriously.

So by the time she got to Caritas and saw Tino there, nicely drunk by now, she said, "I should have stayed at home, huh?"

Tino nodded, and fell into the wall.

The zombies are still playing along. Still glad to have the stage to themselves, too. They wouldn't want say a centaur band coming in next.

Robin had put two and two together, what with Benton disappearing that morning and the announcement and all, and as such, was somewhat tense.

Hence why after a bit of deliberation throughout the day, she'd armed herself with the two handguns (she wasn't touching the rifle just yet) and, after a moment's hesitation, gathered up the dogs.

As such, she had four dogs ranging from medium to huge on leashes when she came in, as well Dief leading the way sans restraint, a chihuahua in peeking out of her purse, and a puppy in her arms.

"Hi, they're housebroken and they'll be good and I'm not leaving them at the apartment and can I have a Johnnie Walker Blue, neat?" she greeted Jaye. "You can even pet them if you let me keep them with me."

"Pff, he likes the dogs," Robin tried before actually thinking about it and agreeing with a flat, "Fine."

She could try with Canadian dollars, anyway.

It was hard not to notice that many dogs, even when you were all flaily, so this would be Lacey gaping just a bit.

The youngest, fluffiest dog came waddling over to peer up at Lacey, tail wagging. "Popcorn!" Robin called, keeping an eye on him. "Be a good boy."

"Aww, hi there," Lacey said, and leaned down to give Popcorn a little wave. "You look like you're holding up okay with the big sc -- strange things outside, huh?"

"There are monsters, I need booze!" Barney declared as he ran into the bar, glad to have managed to get here with his ass intact. And still looking rather fine, thank you.

"This is some kind of crazy Fandom festival, right?" asked Lacey as she swayed and stumbled her way into the bar. "Like chasing a wheel of cheese down a hill or getting chased by bulls or -- I don't know, a parade of people dressed up as corncobs. It's all a big elaborate holiday, right? Right?"

Murdock couldn't help but overhear that as he walked into the bar. He wasn't one for drinking usually, but figured it would be a good place to get some intel.

"I don't think so, darlin'," he spoke, coming up behind her. "Doesn't seem like any kind of picnic to me." And yes, he was still noticeably armed.
