J, GoB - Saturday Morning
Vala wasn't sure what she was going to do. She trusted the technology of this universe, up to a point. Unfortunately, that point was right in front of her, telling her what she didn't want to hear.
How could she have been so stupid?
Barney was the mark. She knew he was the mark. But she'd taken her eye off the prize, and now she wasn't going to be able to just take off with all of his lovely, shiny money and set up shop in some other galaxy.
Oh, no. First she had to give birth to his baby.
Well, not his baby, but even she wasn't irresponsible enough to leave a child alone with Biff.
[ooc: Open to everyone, and particularly to the baby daddies.]

That wasn't how she thought of it, but maybe he would.

Blink.
More staring.
"But sweetums, that's impossible." The words were out of his mouth before he realized the implications.

"The doctors said I could never father a child, not after that accident in my college days. Remember? I told you all about that." It was the cover story for the truth that must be kept hidden or his new life would be gone in a flash.

Courage. She was Miss Bell of Bell Enterprises. He was just a fool who had thrown her away. Best to ignore him entirely.

It's what bearded men do, after all.
The leather pants were just for kicks, really.
"Vala," he oozed. "Hello."

His search had thus far proven futile. His anger was rising. He wanted revenge. He wanted revenge against the man who'd pointed his finger in a court of law and sworn that he'd taken out the used car salesman. He wanted revenge for his years lost, his youth, his prime.
He was older, angry and hell bent on justice.
This place, while smelling very nice, only held the appeal of three old adults. Nothing he wanted. He didn't need Metamucil, thank you.
He stubbed out his cigarette against the door frame and let the butt fall to the ground before he moved to leave. He would have to keep looking.

She scowled when she saw that woman. "Vala," she snapped.
The strumpet who had seduced Barney out from under her.
