The Onsen, Saturday Afternoon

The last time Hannibal had been here, he'd been cold and unprepared for taking any sort of swim even in something as warm as the onsen. Today, he was still a little cold but he had a towel and a proper swimsuit. And, while Toby was always good company, he sort of preferred the company he had with him today.

"Nice, right?" he asked, waving a hand at the onsen. "I was right."

[For his company but open place in town is open, of course.]

"Because I don't want today to be ruined because I push you into the onsen and you hurt something," he said, finally following her.

"Aw." Angela grinned as she sunk down into the nice warm water. "Think I can give you that one," she decided.

"Thank you," he said and slid in next to her, grateful that the snow showers of sugar had stopped. "You get snowed on yesterday?"

"It was tasty," she said, sliding down a little to submerge herself to her shoulders. "And almost as difficult to get out of my hair as the glitter."

"You ate the sugar?" Hannibal asked, grinning a little. "I was too afraid of where it had come from."

"You didn't stick your tongue out to catch snowflakes on it as a kid?" she asked.

"I did but I stopped that almost as soon as I figured out that these weren't snowflakes," he said. "Sugarflakes are a little different."

Angela shrugged, unconcerned. "I obviously have no sense of self-preservation."

"I feel fine on it, so I'd say you just missed out on a free sugar high."

"I got my sugar high other ways," he said and splashed some water her way. "How's your week?"

"I spent most of it glittering," Angela replied. "Which was cute to start with, but got old."

"And did you get harassed by mistletoe today?"

"The one in the doorway of our room?" Hannibal asked. "That thing was freaking pushy."

"Normally, I'm a big fan of it," she said. "It's great. But I really like it better when it's quiet."

"And it just does it's job?" Hannibal said. "Yeah, I agree. Did you manage to kiss anyone under it?"

"I'm working my way up to that," she replied with a grin.

"Got anyone in mind?" he asked, matching her grin.

"Definitely not you," Angela teased.

"Well, I didn't wanna kiss you either," he said and stuck his nose in the air.

Angela grinned across at him. "Liar," she laughed.

"Am not!" he said. "You're the liar."

"I never claimed that I wasn't," Angela pointed out easily, leaning back lazily against the edge of the onsen.

"Liar, liar, pants on fire," he chanted and splashed her again.

Angela still wasn't denying it, and just laughed and stuck her tongue out at him, splashing right back.

He started it.

"Hey, hey, don't waste the water," he chided. "You'll get us arrested!"

"I can pull off innocent really well. I think I'd get away with it," she told him confidently.

"Would you let them arrest me if I couldn't lie?" Hannibal asked.
