Fight Club, Atlas Gym, Sunday Evening

No zombies. No children. No distractions. It was a perfect day for a fight, and Tyler looked feral as he paced in front of the crowd.

"At this point," he said, "you all know why you're here. If you don't, get out. If you do, go hit somebody. Hard as you can."

"Or if you can't find someone to hit, go find the heavybag," Ghanima agreed pleasantly. She was the complete contrast to her partner today; cool collection against Tyler's agitation. "You two. And those two there." She turned to Tyler with a grin. "Care to pick the other three lucky couples?"

"I can do that," Tyler said, barely considering his choices before he made them with a jab of his index finger. "You two. You and you. And ... Ghanima, you haven't had a good match yet. Spar him."

That last match promised to be interesting; he might put off his own bout to watch.

"Sadist," Ghanima said good-naturedly. "I'll get you for this."

She turned her attention back to the assembled fighters. "Well, you heard us. Move."

Firekeeper and Blind Seer were here, of course, and Firekeeper was actually happy to do the mingling thing if anyone so desired. Apparently she had missed being around people, at least a little bit.

Jen almost wasn't sure what to do with a normal Fight Club week, now.

Readjusting to normality was getting to be a chore, wasn't it?

Still, she was going through her warmups with the usual careful attention to detail, quiet and focused.

Tahiri was keeping to a corner again, working her way through a few focusing techniques; if she was going to do any fighting today, she needed to not be as mentally and emotionally all over the place as she felt. Riina didn't need the opportunity.

No children? One, actually, which Cable put firmly in the playpen with only the usual (staggering) levels of paranoia. Then he pulled himself up, rolled his shoulders, and considered the room.

Jaina was a kitten today. She'd also brought a guest, in the form of a little slutty Thin Mint of a boyfriend. No, she was not letting him out of her sight. (They were a special couple, okay?)

It also occurred to her that really, being a kitten was kind of awesome today, as in this company she wouldn't have to have any awkward conversations.

Ben wasn't much for mingling, exactly, but he was fine with warming up. Hitting someone very, very hard would be cathartic.

Daisy was good and limber from her meditation already, but she didn't think a little extra stretching would hurt. Mostly an attempt to work out some nerves; the only tussling she, admittedly, wanted to be doing with Nathan wasn't exactly the kind done here...
