Fight Club, Atlas Gym, Sunday Evening

Tyler paced the gym barefoot as the fighters assembled. "Graduates," he began. "Students. Teachers. People who work in town. Miscellaneous others. Welcome to fight club."

"We're glad to have you here," Ghanima continued smoothly. "But if you're here, you fight. If, for some reason you cannot fight, we ask you stay towards the back. This isn't a place for voyeurism. If you want a show, go find a television."

"Ghanima, you speak my language," Tyler informed her., before turning back to the group. "Two people to a fight, fights end when someone goes limp or says stop. We are not trying to kill each other here; we're trying to train. We're trying to improve. Got questions, ask one of us." He looked at his cohort. "Anything else?"

"Rules are on the door," she said crisply, "but we're happy to answer any inquires you may have."

"Now go hit the mats or go home."

"I know. I've read all about your career," Jen said, almost babbling as she bounced on the balls of her feet. If this came down to acrobatics, she was going to be at a disadvantage without objects she could use for leverage. "I won't go into detail, though. Knowledge of the future and all."

What she did do was step forward with a quick punch-kick-elbow combination, though.

"Career? Future?" Kimberly was caught off guard by that, so the punch of the combination connected. She managed to deflect the others by ducking and kicking out with her own foot to the other girl's leg.

"I'm from the thirty-first century," was all the explanation she got out at the moment. Jen took the hit to her shin and grunted, but shifted her weight and sent a hook kick at Kimberly's head.

She kind of hoped she didn't connect, because she was still stuck on oh my god Kimberly Hart.

Lucky for Kimberly, she was used to people tying to take shots at her head. She reached out to grab Jen's foot in an attempt to toss the other girl back to the mat.

"Really? That's pretty neat. What's your time like?"

The grab was successful, but Jen had anticipated that possibility and pushed up off the floor as she twisted, kicking out with her other foot at Kimberly's midsection before she started to fall.

"Highly overrated."

The kick caught and Kimberly twisted back into a somersault to get out of the way of any other kicks.

"Do you like this time better, then?"

Jen flipped back up to her feet and advanced again, throwing a few punches as feints. "Much," she said, then pivoted and darted in at Kimberly from the side, aiming a snap-kick at her hip.
