Tyler seemed cheerful as Fight Club gathered tonight, which might have been enough to make people worry if it hadn't been for the fact he was always happy when they got together after a few weeks off.

"Welcome back," he said. "No snow, no gremlins, just punching. Ghanima, got anything to say before we start picking matches?"

"You remember the rules," she said simply. "You with her. You two, and you with him."

"And him with her, him with her, and her with her," Tyler finished. "Questions? We'll be around."

Jak made it down from the causeway right in time to head on to Atlas Gym. He arrived looking bedraggled and reeking like a toilet.

Zack? Zack was in a good mood today! Which, granted, wasn't much different from usual, but at least today he was able to say that he was still riding the high of several missions well done back in Midgar.

Beka found a quiet spot to warm up afore she'd start her match. A spar was welcome and she was certain her shoulder'd not bother her too much anymore.

Cindy was stretching and wondering for the hundredth time if she should be here. Mild-manner teacher Cindy Perrault probably shouldn't be showing off her hard-won skills at martial arts.

On the other hand, this was a good way to get involved with the community. And convenient, since she missed her workouts.

Kennedy had managed to grab a shower in between her dunk tank stint and this, but she was still pretty sure she had fudge in her ear, and kept scratching at it while she warmed up. The entire thing had been weird beyond belief, but she wasn't letting any of that show; better to act like she'd planned it all.

Jak smelled like the sewers and his muscles were still running low on the aftermath of a lot of adrenaline, but he wasn't about to bow out of a challenge. He walked up onto the mat and forced his arms to comply. "Hey."

Well, she was feeling stable enough today. That was a relief; Tahiri still worried a lot about a repeat of the Riina incident a while ago. And this didn't, as far as she could tell, promise to be a match that was likely to bring that out of her.

Stopping to make sure the cuffs of her sleeves were fastened, she stepped onto the mat and nodded briefly.
