Winter Carnival | All Day | The Park | January 31 [Post #2]

It was a new day and there was no better way to start a new day than with the continuation of the carnival. There was still snow coating the ground but the atmosphere was as lively as ever. With cream-colored decorations and twinkling lights, the Student Council had aimed for a winter wonderland kind of theme, and the snow simply added to the effect. Thankfully, the day was turning out to be warmer, so those who were going to be outside all day wouldn't freeze. Once the finishing touches were done, the carnival was open for business.

"Ouch. So we're not BFFs? That's a shame," Jacob laughed and he shrugged his shoulders. "I've had a good weekend, I can't deny that." And he was looking rather forwards to next week too.

"Perhaps next time I'll take a chance at one of these booths," he said though he knew he wouldn't. He smiled though. "Am I going to have to deal with your smugness about this all week?"

"Can't you just be happy for your roommate?" Jacob teased. "Would you rather I sleep in the hall?"

"Why would I want you to sleep in the hall?" he wondered. "Unless you're planning on snoring smugly or inviting all the girls over, I think I can be fine with you sleeping in your bed."

"I have no clue how I could snore smugly," Jacob chuckled. "Was I snoring differently last night? I'll try not to kick you out of the room," he promised.

Inviting girls over... Well, he didn't think his date with Morgana was going to be moving that fast.

"You'd be hard pressed to kick me anywhere," said Bod, shaking his head. "Perhaps if you asked nicely, I'd leave without a word."

"I'll consider it," and he shouldn't be flushing. "Nah, I doubt that's going to be happening."

"You wouldn't ask me nicely?" asked Bod, one eyebrow going up. "Or you wouldn't have anyone over?"

"I wouldn't have anyone over," Jacob clarified. "It seems pretty rude asking you to stay out of your own room."

"You could if you wanted, you know," offered Bod, shrugging. "I wouldn't mind. It's my room but it's yours as well."

"We'll cross that bridge if we ever get there," Jacob said quickly, because he wasn't going to assume anything. Girls were weird after all.

"All right," said Bod, grinning a little. "I should leave you to it, let you get your kisses since I won't be giving you one."

Jacob laughed. "Yeah, do that. You're cramping my style," he joked, shooing Bod off.

"See you, Jacob," said Bod, giving him a little wave before heading towards another set of booths.
