Winter Carnival | All Day | The Park | January 31 [Post #2]

It was a new day and there was no better way to start a new day than with the continuation of the carnival. There was still snow coating the ground but the atmosphere was as lively as ever. With cream-colored decorations and twinkling lights, the Student Council had aimed for a winter wonderland kind of theme, and the snow simply added to the effect. Thankfully, the day was turning out to be warmer, so those who were going to be outside all day wouldn't freeze. Once the finishing touches were done, the carnival was open for business.

She stuffed a ten dollar bill into the jar and grinned. "It is such a sacrifice, too," she said. "I have to pucker up now, don't I?"

"That is the general idea," he grinned and leaned forward, his hands resting on either side of the booth.

Jennifer met his lean eagerly. Hey, she knew a cute boy when she saw one. And Jacob, well, he was definitely on the hot side. She would have easily paid triple what she had to the charity for this.

Nothing was stopping her from still paying triple if she wanted.

And Jacob met her in the kiss, his lips brushing hers gently before he grew more sure of himself.

And after she felt she got her money's worth, Jen pulled back. She reached her hand up to her lips, a little surprised. "That was hot," she said, meaning both literally and metaphorically. "You should do this more often."

Jacob laughed, ducking his head. "I'll ask them to do a monthly kissing booth or something."

"With your help, we'll defeat world hunger," Jennifer said, giving him a thumbs-up. "But I probably shouldn't hog all your time. As much fun as that would be."

"Probably," he agreed with a grin. "Maybe we can cure cancer too."

"We can hope," Jennifer said. "Talk to you later, Jacob." She gave him a wave and headed off.
