Groovy Tunes, Tuesday
Tuesday. By now, it was fairly clear around Groovy Tunes that Tuesdays were Jonothon days. And Jonothon days, as a result, meant live music days.
Today's project saw him with his guitar and his amp, yes. It also saw him with a pencil and a piece of paper, writing down tabs as he idly poked at some songs of his own creation.
The hope was that, if he poked at them enough, they wouldn't sound absolutely awful. Of course, it was possible that Jono was being harder on himself than any prospective audience might be. Artists, after all, are generally notorious for being their own worst critics.

... All in all, both parts of the performance weren't bad in the least. This was his life before mutancy, after all. But 'not bad' still wasn't good enough for him.
When the song ended, he lowered his guitar and just looked at her, waiting for... any sort of input at all, really.

//Been tryin'. Found a gel who can sing, but she's not th'sort to really perform for a crowd.// Alas. //Still lookin', I suppose.//
Which he was fine with. It meant that he could continue being a complete chickenshit about getting up in front of an audience.

And then he gave Jean an appraising sort of look.
Be afraid, Jean.
//I don't suppose you can sing at all?//
Be very afraid.

He had you there, Jean.

"Right," Jean said warily.
