John had decimated the population of the world five times before he headed to the bar, phone to his ear as he explained how effective the Rodney pandemic virus had been. "No, it's not multiplayer." He waved at Tino for a beer as he sat down, making faces at no one present.

"No, it's not better than our game." He rolled his eyes. As if disease was as cool as running dueling civilizations. "Yes, I'm sure they're doing fine without us."

He paused, eyebrow lifting. "No."

"No."

"Did you hear me say no twice?" John snorted, somehow smiling despite the exchange. "I'm hanging up now." At least Tino was quick with that beer.

Well now, that was interesting...

"What for?" Genesis asked. "Some sort of monster?"

Little and green didn't really send alarms down his spine.

... Not much did, to be honest.

"You could say that," he more or less confirmed. "They've got a nasty venom that can turn a bad day into a bad month."

"It wears off after like, an hour, but no, there's no cure for the results." Unless you're just that good at repressing, but eat Karal's hair and this concept just flies out the window.

Genesis shook his head and wondered if a Remedy would do it.

Surely it would?

"What does the venom do exactly?" He hadn't said.

"Usually makes you think you're something that you're really not. Like I don't sing? So naturally I've become a singer." And Jim still owed him for that role reprisal. "And I don't strip, but that didn't stop me from dragging a chair to the zombie stage one night...why am I sharing this? I need to drink more." So many bad memories, such a nice bottle of tequila to help them away.

Seriously, insert alcohol, open mouth. Good luck making John stop.

"You've got a point there. Though, I should point out that for as much as the gremlins can cause personal pain, they can also bring joy when you get to watch your friends act like giant fools. Now that part I like."

"Can you pay them to do so?" he asked interestedly. "That would make recording such events simpler."

"I tell you, it'd be so much easier if you could," John sighed. "Both to avoid it and try and cause it for others. But the little bastards don't seem to care about cash or booze or anything."
